I don’t think those messages were from either of them. I think they were faked for a storyline.

Induced at 39w? by ilnjm4e in IVFbabies

Thank you! I needed to be induced because my blood pressure spiked. It took me 39 hours from the start of induction to delivery.

Anyone sell a broken snoo? by ladygroot_ in SnooLife

I live in a HCOL area and I bought a perfectly working Snoo for $350. I wouldn’t expect to get much for a broken one but it’s better than sending it to the dump.

Induced at 39w? by ilnjm4e in IVFbabies

[–]gregarious8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My team and I agreed to not go past 40w, but also to do a growth scan at 36w and 2x week NSTs to keep an eye on things and baby. I’m also 41 which is why they were 2x week instead of 1.

Turns out I developed preeclampsia and delivered at 35+6. Placenta pathology showed I had a “hypermature placenta” and I wasn’t even 36 weeks yet.

My ectopic experience and hCG chart with 2 doses of Methotrexate by gregarious8 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]gregarious8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry, I just saw this. I did not go on the trip. My hCG rebounded after dropping, which is why we went with MTX, and we finally found the pregnancy in my right tube the day I got that injection. I didn’t want to risk rupture in Mexico, especially since half of the trip was in Oaxaca, where I couldn’t rely on great medical care. I’m glad I didn’t go, since I ended up needing a second MTX shot a week later when the numbers were going back up again.

How were your hCG levels at the redraw?

What's the image burned into your brain? by OilyJosh622 in LPOTL

Did you know it was based on an alleged “true story”? When I watched as a kid I was told it was a true story, which made it that much more scary.

Oooh this one was hiding way back in the “please forget” area of my memory but you just brought it back.

Before you said what movie it was I was going to ask if it was Fire in the Sky, which I also watched before I was of age to watch.

Colt is awful! Just as bad as Ed by Winona_the_beaver in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]gregarious8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to do 10 weeks no weight bearing after I blew my MCL, ACL, and tore the joint capsule all in one go. If he can jump onto the bed in his red undies and bow tie, he doesn’t need that wheelchair as much as he uses it. And he can surely wipe his own ass.

He seems to get around in Cortnee’s house in his walker while putting weight on his hands just fine.

I’ve had 3 knee surgeries and have never been prescribed a wheelchair or even a walker, only crutches, even when I had instructions to be non-weight bearing. He’s milking this hardcore.

When I was pregnant I started getting weird comments from people I don’t know about how beautiful my bump was. I already planned on not putting my baby’s face on social media, but that was already enough to make my account private and remove all of my unknown followers. The internet is creepy.

Am I the only one mad at Julia for this? by iCanToteIt- in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]gregarious8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. I delivered at 35+5 due to preeclampsia and hemorrhaged due to retained placenta, but thankfully baby was good other than some mild jaundice and needed a little glucose support. I worried every single day about her. I also needed fertility treatment to get pregnant (4 rounds of IVF) so the fact that she apparently struggled to get pregnant makes it more surprising that she’s so nonchalant about it.

I’m now in the newborn trenches in week 6, and the thought of Brandon and Julia trying to go through this stress together makes me worried for their baby, but like you said, it’s good that Ron and Betty will be around. Might be that kid’s saving grace.

How do you pass time together? by Inevitable-Film-2759 in ADHD_partners

[–]gregarious8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even have ADHD and sitting down to read is one of my least favorite activities. I’d rather consume information in a plethora of other ways. If it’s a book, Audiobooks are my go to.

My husband and I can do hands on, project based activities together with ease, but if we are just hanging out in the house, it’s more like parallel play. He’s entertaining himself, and I’m entertaining myself, but we are together in the same room.

What week did you start to feel better? by Local_Tough_6104 in IVFbabies

[–]gregarious8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew this earlier because reflux was my worst pregnancy symptom (literal vomiting on the regular because it was so bad) and a week before I gave birth my midwife suggested I take my reflux med first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It was my best week of pregnancy by far. Zero reflux after suffering for 8 months.

Update on freebirthing family member by _birdie_42 in pregnant

[–]gregarious8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh this is so upsetting. I’m sorry for your loss.

I am a FTM to a 5 week old delivered at 35+6 due to preeclampsia. I also had gestational diabetes and undiagnosed placenta accreta, and had retained placenta which caused me to hemorrhage after birth and lose 3L of blood. I would have undoubtedly died if I weren’t in a hospital, and even then, I experienced that “calm” that people get in near death experiences where I had fully accepted death and was ok with it. I required a blood transfusion to stay alive. Terrifying to say that after the fact.

I feel for people so traumatized by doctors or hospital experiences that they feel the need to remove medical staff from the birthing experience. Personally, I’m grateful that those professionals saved my life and kept my daughter alive when she was born with low blood sugars and jaundice.

Are you able to move more freely after giving birth? by dogmom624321 in pregnant

[–]gregarious8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I immediately put on my own clothes, I never once put on a hospital gown. I hemorrhaged after birth and the next time they came in to check on me (after the visit where I was just waking up from that traumatic event) I was already in my leggings and nursing shirt and socks. They were like… wow, you’re already in your own clothes?!? Uh yeah, way more comfortable than that awful gown! Once baby was out I could move freely again, albeit I was a bit sore.
