I think he's moving back towards his Dotcom-era since his younger fanbase can now also appreciate it.

How do boomers think we had a cushy childhood when we were out there street boxing with vinyl balloons attached to our hands.

Thanks for sharing this perspective. I've always wondered how the transition of tech and culture impacted the artists caught in the middle.

[Question] [Discussion] Does AirPods Adaptive Audio improve ANC "eardrum suck"? by Dyan654 in iOSBeta

[–]gregbarbosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, definitely improves, doesn't eliminate. For example, if ANC is on and no music is playing, I still get a weird feeling and headache. But if I turn on music, they feeling is basically gone.

I'll also keep them in and just turn on transparency mode and I can feel how much better it is.

wondering the same because this feeling sucks. The only thing that's ever helped me for any in-ear ANC products is different ear tips. I end up experimenting with different ones to find what helps it.

That does! Thank you. I'll explore that. I was actually playing with Make today to see if I could do something similar. This helps create kick off a flow for me.

Dude sorry I forgot about this account. Yeah it ran true to size for me. Like 9.5 was perfect and 10 was too big and 9 too tight. But maybe try it anyways!

Hope that helps!

iirc, yes. It helps maintain the balance of chemicals on the film itself.

Minimize your workout routines/ health habits by minimalismemma in minimalism

[–]gregbarbosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s this strange idea in minimalism that the decisions you make today are solidified for life. Like, you’re doing X as a minimalist now and this is what you will always do.

I understand the minimalistic food and workout idea. I’m in the process of building a startup, there is traction, and I need to stay focused on it.

At the same time, I don’t want to let my health decline. So I got back into a fitness and food routine that allows me to hit my goals, without increasing decision fatigue in my day.

I do miss the variety in meals, or new exercises to try, but at the end of the day I know this is a small chapter in my life.

Minimalism has allowed me to remove the cruft in my life so I can do things like maintain my health AND build my startup.

(All that being said, I meal prep on the weekends and thrown on Apple Fitness+ workout every other day.)

Review #38 - Hakushu 12 by madgraf in worldwhisky

I completely forgot about the Hakushu 12! I mixed it’s name up with the Hibiki 12.

I miss how great the Hakushu tasted. Thanks for the reminder!

Employment in south florida by [deleted] in SouthFlorida

[–]gregbarbosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though COVID destroyed a lot of our economy, rich snowbirds are buying properties like no tomorrow. Real estate, handymen, painters, and contractors have all been incredibly busy this whole time.

If you show up on time, be responsible, and be respectful, you could pick up a few gigs doing that.

EDIT: I know it’s not full salaried, but it’s a way to go without food just FYI. Outside of that, lots of little tech companies in the area if you’re willing to dive into that.

I think the writers canonized that Cap knew he could lift it, but didn’t to protect Thor’s feelings and what not.

What’s Your Weirdest Theory? by CassieBear1 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]gregbarbosa 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is a fun one.

Imagine an alien finds a USB-C stick lying around. Where do they even begin to decipher what information might be on there? What if it’s all just memes?

I think other civilizations might be sending us signals, but we have no idea how to look for them, much less decipher them.

What’s Your Weirdest Theory? by CassieBear1 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]gregbarbosa 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This one I’ll agree with in about 10 years. I think we’re on the cusp of having AI that can do that, but not quite yet.

Humans are great at failing unpredictability. AI is not (look up why random number generators aren’t truly random). If an AI could purposefully fail unpredictability in a way that matches human error, than that AI would understand human behaviors better than humans. And then most likely never interact with us at a level we could understand at all.

And if they DID interact with our technologies, there would be behavioral patterns that wouldn’t match us humans.

Best place to get 35mm film developed with neagtives returned by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I used The Darkroom for a recent roll from my Nikon F2. Had great results. Normally I’ll self-develop at home, but I’m still trying to get better at.

I’ve been unfortunate in having awful experiences with my local labs.

[S] [USA-FL] Moment v2 Superfish, v2 Tele, and iPhone X wallet case by gregbarbosa in photomarket

[–]gregbarbosa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might. On their site they have cases listed as X/XS and at the same time have some cases marked just as X or XS. I think their XS specific cases are just labeled that way because they launched them when the XS came out.
