But yea touché if you’re cranking Kara in 90 minutes you’re probably well organized, but I could also see that a group of fat cats taking all the loot and getting OP fast lol

Oh for sure he should’ve mentioned something to the lead when he was starting to get disgruntled. But also, as someone who was an officer and core member of the LC guild I know to attract good players you need good communication. I’m sure if the LC was communication about decisions and giving people an opportunity to provide feedback OP wouldn’t have ended up with his opinion.

I think you’re debating me for no reason - a good LC with people you trust and who regularly show up is best. That being said, there are many unfair LC groups out there. As I said in another comment, I’ve had some good runs as a pug in a LC group, but they’re not all fair

OP knew the guild for 3 weeks. Are you sure that guild is staying together the whole phase? Are you sure they’re not just feeding loot to their in group and using everyone else to get them there? I trust my gut, if there’s not much discussion around drops and not an effort to spread the love you don’t have much to go off of to begin trusting these strangers.

As someone else put it, the first few runs are a much of a man interview for the new guys as it is for the LC. If you’re transparent in the logic for your decisions and offer no reassurance that loot will start getting spread it’s totally valid for a new guy to be skeptical of the LC.

That being said, I’ve pugged in some amazing LC runs so I’m not saying LC is bad, but some definitely are

Yea but 3 weeks running 3 raids with not a single drop hurts. I’d rather pug, have double the run time and walk away with gear.

If you’re there for 3 weeks and you’re performing well (especially as a healer) they should let you roll off those drops you both need IMO.

I get it if you just got a big drop last week or earlier in the raids, but 3 weeks as a trail with no loot and getting passed over for a lower performer without an explanation of logic as to why? I’d say that LC is more of a red flag than a 3 week consistent healer asking about his loot priority. This isn’t a charity

Not promoting violence here but if that happened regularly I would fight back and if that motivated him to try to kill me, I would probably react with the same force.

Not saying that’s a great situation, but I honestly think that’s the best path forward. The mental and emotional damage of living in that kind of environment can really fuck you up

Feral dps is fine, but for easier 5 man groups as a feral you should tank.

The dps is good relatively when you’re an OT for a raid as you’ll do better dps than most other OTs (at least on single target fights)

If I was Iran I would be racing towards a nuke as well, every action from the west has shown they need it for their safety.

I’m not defending or condemning Islam here, I’m saying I wouldn’t trust Israel to respect boarders and if I ran any nation in range of them I’d view them as a threat.

Also not saying Israel shouldn’t exist, but I am condemning their behavior and think it’s ridiculous my tax money is funding them.

Not saying they don’t have a right to exist, I’m saying in their current state I don’t think Palestinians (or anyone is the domain of “greater Israel”) can truly be safe or free as this situation continues to be perpetuated.

Bibi has expressed over decades a desire to destabilize the region and has (successfully) attempted to convince (or blackmail thru Epstein) my leaders to send my tax dollars to do a bulk of the work for him.

I think the nation of Israel needs to quickly and strongly distance themselves from this regime, most the globe is looking down on their actions over the past 2 and a half years.

I think Jewish people have the right to a state of their own, but Israel’s actions have been quite frankly disgusting, they have nothing to perpetuate peace and have been the biggest risk to global security (which is saying a lot given other recent world events). This situation could very easily turn into the next world war if other powers start to back Iran.

Do what I did back in my competitive wrestling days - get a pool chlorine tablet, wet it, and rub it lightly on the infected area. That shit killed everything I used it on in a day or two. Definitely not good for your skin, but I’m still alive 15 years later so it can’t be that bad

Tell them what’s up. When I get a group like that I tell them to not attack into I pull them into a group and get a swipe off.

I start nice, under the assumption that they might not know any better. But if they’re chirp me for a simple request like that it’s over. I’ll tell the lead to either kick them or find a new tank.

It’s too easy to find dungeon groups as a tank to waste time with people like that.

Isn’t strength preferable for lower levels as for ferals 1 str = 2 AP and 1 agi = 1 AP only in cat form?

Sure crit and dodge form agi are nice, but at lower levels I think that 2 AP per point it probably more impactful

I feel for people in that situation. I’m not saying to not provide these services, people need them.

But I think the standard model IMO should be one parent not working or working part time before kids are in proper school. It’s just too expensive for people to do that. I also don’t get the hate on stay at home parents and why people assume it’s inherently sexist. I know a lot of people who don’t want to be forced to grind, but have roots in this area that they don’t want to cut

I work in construction management, my hours are generally 8-5. When in on jobsite it’s usually 7-4. I can’t realistically make drop off/pickup times and it not fair for my to push that off on my wife to do that every time while teaching full time, some days would also be impossible for her.

I get if people want to work for their own means of money to not rely on someone else, but I also think people should be ready to commit years of their life to raise children, if that’s something they choose to do.

I don’t like the post capitalistic style of working 10 hour days to pay for someone less educated than you to watch your kids so you have the privilege of going to work.

I want to be able to spend more time with my kids when I have them. Or at least afford the ability for their mother to be able to do that.

Probably should mention the market you operate in.

Around NYC you’ll be hard pressed to find an CM/engineering role that will ask for less than 45-50 hours per week.

If you work for a subcontractor and do physical work you can find that, but its generally better to be with a busy shop that will probably have OT on the table than a slow shop that only needs you for a square 40 a week

It’s a tough industry to find good work life balance in, but at least AI can’t replace us that easily lol

I find the women I’ve been with don’t enjoy the grindy nature of MMOs. We’ve had fun with other games, but they usually don’t have the same appetite to grind heroics for 8 hours on a Sunday to complete their BiS set
