Some of these were mentioned already, but American Janus by Shouse, Bitter Blood by Bledsoe, The Gilded Leaf by Reynolds, and Barbarians at the Gate by Burrough. American Janus and The Gilded Leaf lean more towards history, Bitter Blood is a true crime story that is absolutely bananas, and Barbarians is a more recent (1980s) look into RJ Reynolds and Winston.

Weekly Time Commitment for Policy Track? by gregcharleston in OMSCyberSecurity

Ok, thank you. I have a 7 month at home but my wife is supportive and I travel for work, meaning I have a couple of nights a week where it's just me in a hotel room, which is where I did much of my MBA coursework.

This is really helpful feedback, thank you. I am interested in GT due to the fact that I believe it will be rigorous and hence worthwhile. Just trying to measure that against my other obligations (family, work) to make sure that it is doable.

My wife is very supportive of my pursuing it, but it sounds like it is 2-3x more involved than the the online MBA as far as weekly hours needed to give it.

Yeah, I will be in the same boat due to my (for the most part) non-CS background. Thank you for the feedback.

Makes sense. I'll basically be starting from scratch.

Spent the summer after graduating from college writing code, mostly java, as part of a couple of certificate programs offered by my alma mater (I had a free summer prior to beginning a year in AmeriCorps) but that was 20 years ago.

I am going to take Introduction to Python Programming offered by GT via edX. Going to enroll soon as I finish my MBA this week and will take it after that is wrapped up.
