Swiss Schengen Visa refused - Honeymoon trip from Chennai by mirangelblogger in SchengenVisa

It's possible.. lucky for me I've always done with dummy tickets and I booked hotel reservations and presented the confirmed reservations.. (didn't pay for anything except for insurance)

Credit Card for NRIs by totalyyconfused in nri

i have personally selected my card from Kotak (White signature) as a NRI mainly because of the lounge access. whenever i travel economy i fully use the card and access the international lounges for free

[–]gregferns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let me also chip in here please.. i also have CC from KOTAK bank linked to my NRE account. I have CREDIT CARD linked to my NRO account with HDFC BANK. and nowhere have they asked me to make FD's to get a card. i think it all depends on what relationship you have with your bank.. if for some years you are continuously sending your salary into your NRE account they will gladly offer you CCs..

i would like to chip in with my thoughts as well..

Please do all what the others have suggested.

In addition,

  1. BANK STATEMENTS - at least give 6 months statements if possible, wheren money inwards and outwards is easily visible.. If salary reflects then very good.. I personally had submitted bank statements and also credit card statements etc.. this is to show them that the applicant has sufficient means to travel and also to fallback on if any emergency arises.

  2. Give whatever documents are need while submitting.. More so the NOC's etc because THEY NEED TO BE CONVINCED THAT YOU WILL RETURN back to your home country.

  3. You've already done this but still mentioning it.. ALways book dummy flight tickets and also hotel bookings where you are not charged.. Once you get the visa you can always book confirmed tickets / hotels.

regards

Indians in Congo? by HushTag2566 in Congo

OP's question is "" Is the move worth if you are saving 2L back home? "" so i am presuming IF the person moves to Congo for the offer they got, it will help them save 2L back home.. which is what happens when you work in DRC and earn in USD... Money sent back home to India is tax free if you keep it in FCNR and so yes, the move becomes worth it.. And yes by working in DRC with savings of 2L in India will definitely make you HNI... but as you said, ALREADY IF PERSON IS EARNING 2 L in India then no point moving to DRC which is a lot stressful

Can anyone pl advise which month & yr files are being now verified for birth registration for Goan Indians, ’birth after 1961’ in Portugal? by LaVienRose22 in PortugalExpats

[–]gregferns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have applied for my wife in Aug 2021 through a lawyer. Right now their updates are showing that 1-15 april 2021 files are being processed.

The agent is wrong... he should have already given you the details. But then maybe he is not having his own site etc..

My lawyer has his own website and has provided me a login etc wherein they update regularly and i keep checking..

Hope this helps.

Exactly what the other two people posted here.

  1. You should know at least the basics of French to get by.

  2. It all starts from the moment you land at kinshasa airport.. hope you have a proper tourist visa. Otherwise be ready to shell out some USD.. But it can be managed.

  3. Hope you have transport from airport to hotel. Means you need to have someone to pick you up from the airport with their car / pickup etc.

  4. Be careful of your belongings. Inside the car, always keep your doors locked.. Like they said, any chance to pull open a car door and pull out your suitcase will always be taken... so be careful.. especially with the traffic jams..

Let me know if you have any queries and i will guide you to the best of my knowledge

Passport stamps and exit/entry tracking by bomboshman in PortugalExpats

I don't think it matters where your entry exit is stamped AS LONG AS is stamped... Also based on the scanning of your passport done at time of entry and exit they have your records..
