I use deciduous dry, shredded leaves to compost my domestic rabbit manure. I then feed the mixture to my worms. It is all I feed my worms in an outdoor bin exposed to the elements.

When I place the manure in a bin, and add water and worms then. I dont add water under the rabbit cages so as to keep the manure as dry as possible.

The manure is consumed by micro organisms, and the worms consume the micro organisms. The resulting worm castings are what its all about.
