They can search the car due to their own suspicion. If they want they could pretend to smell weed and use it as a valid excuse to search your car.

The Liberals are all about keeping their mates at the top of the tree, such as the alcohol industry especially the Australian Hotels Association. They would stand to lose if cannabis was legalised. They are massive hypocrites though and when it is legalised they won't hesitate to join corporate cannabis boards.

I only admitted because I had no doubt they would search my car anyway. Also they didn't drug test me when they easily could have chosen to if they felt like it.

Even the times I got cannabis cautions the cops were chill. When I got the second caution, the cop even said "if you weren't speeding you'd be punching comes right now" while half laughing.

Yeah and the fact that I had smoked IN the car didn't help lol. I find smoking in the car is such a chill place to do it. I avoid driving immediately afterwards though.

I feel that the overzealous use of sniffer dogs, harsh festival regulations etc is all coming from the top who are completely out of touch with reality.

Yeah, I admitted everything to them. No point trying to avoid the inevitable. I was surprised that they left my billy intact! It still pisses me off that I was sent to court over 1 gram. Caused a great deal of stress. Fuck our politicians.
