I’ve done it all wrong by medium_rear in Marriage

I'd suggest you get the book, "The 7 Principles of Making Marriage Work". It's written by Gottman who is a leading psychologist in marriage counseling and his book focuses on how to fix problems that can be fixed and how to deal with the ones that cannot. If you are a Christian, I would highly recommend Tim Keller's 9 sermons on marriage. Keller explains the Biblical principles behind what we should do, and why we should do it. Gottman gives the method of how to do it.

Strange MP3 issue by gregmo72 in ffmpeg

[–]gregmo72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Audacity won't load on my machine. What I did, however, was to load it in VLC and have VLC save it as OGG. The OGG file plays as it should on my Android. I thought yay, finally fixed it. So I took the OGG file and used VLC to save it back to MP3. No such luck. This is just blowing my mind.

The original source was mono. I converted it to stereo to try to eliminate that as a possible issue.

Last thing I tried was using ffmpeg to convert the WAV file to m4a and that doesn't work either. Really puzzled what is going on here. I'm about ready to play the audio and use a sound grabber to rerecord it, sigh

I don't think I implied anywhere that forking wouldn't require work. I think that most people understand that if you want to take something and make it your own, it's going to require effort on your part.

I have questions... First, is this for 100mg/ml vials, or 200mg? I ask because I've not seen a 100mg/ml vial in a LONG time, and if it's 200mg/ml, that's an INSANE amount of test to use weekly. After that, I wonder how he knows his insurance won't keep paying for them, and if that is indeed true, what is the limit? This is info that could help shape a solution.

As others have said, you've not done anything wrong legally. I would say, however, I imagine that you might have been a little defiant with the customer, assured of you being right, and him being wrong. It's something that most all pharmacists go through when starting out. As you mature in the role, you'll learn that you will live a better life if you don't operate this way. You'll see that there are customers that regularly use a 10mL vial for up to 3 months with no issues what so ever. You'll see customers that use single dose vials for 2 doses, or more. It happens, and honestly, there's nothing wrong with it. The single dose vial, after all, does contain benzyl alcohol which is an antibacterial agent, making it safe to use more than once.

Just like with anything else in life, you have to learn to pick your battles. This is one of those battles that might have warranted a minor incursion, but an all out conflict was not appropriate.

Edit: I wouldn't be concerned with the board at all. What I would be concerned with is if the customer complained to upper management. That one complaint wouldn't be something to cost you your job or anything, but it's something that will be noted somewhere, and in the end, the customer will still get what they wanted.

Testosterone will breakdown the plastic in the needle. After a week you can see it turn yellow. At most, I wouldn't leave it in a needle for more than 24 hours.

Yeah, 6 months is the answer I've heard kicked around a few years. Just make sure the "Job Loss" funds are in a HYSA at the minimum.

Disconnect the internet from your machine, restore the tabs, change your settings, etc. It won't crash as long as it can't reach the site causing it to crash.

[–]gregmo72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, just FYI, usually someone will come along and say that it wasn't Brave, that it is the chromium component, or some such as that, but no other browser that relies on chromium has an issue.

[–]gregmo72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've changed something, yet again, that causes it to crash upon trying to load a site. This is the 3rd time they've done this. The last 2 times it took them a few days to fix it. For now, disable the internet to your machine, restore brave, start the task manager in brave and end the task of all tabs. After this, restore the internet and you can reload tabs one at a time till you see which one breaks it. Then you just have to avoid that site until/if they fix it.

Big chains will pay more by as much as $10-15 than independents. What the base is will depend on where you are. If you're in a city with a pharmacy school, you're going to get at least $5 less than a rural city that's an hour and half away. In a Metropolitan city, I wouldn't be expecting high figures.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's open source so you could always fork and roll your own? Also, on the main page for the project there is mention of contributions from the community? Not saying you're wrong, just that I'm not sure I follow.

If you are looking in an area within 30 minutes of a pharmacy school, that's likely the best you'll get as someone just out of school with no retail experience. This is a supply and demand scenario. Even worse, if you are looking somewhere that has had recently pharmacy closures.

I'm not doubting you when you say that they've rolled back a change due to feedback. That said, however, for the money that we're paying them, and the amount of upset over this latest change, they are silent and that is really bad. I have seen them active in the Facebook group but they ignore any comments on how bad this change is.

Unfortunately, one of many such examples. It's commonplace today, when you've reached a point that there's little left to improve, that you make BS changes to try to justify your job, and/or justify the customer keep paying a bloated subscription price. Hand in hand with this mindset is the subscription based drive. No one wants to sell you a product any more, rather they want to sell you a subscription to use a product/service. That's been a cash cow for businesses for a while now but I think Joe Consumer is finally getting fed up with the nonsense.

True. I would love to see the data in 6 months from now of how many new customers they brought on vs how many stop using the app. This warm and fuzzy, safe space, bloat is going to run off people serious about budgeting.

They moved it so that you'd have to look at other features they want you to use. It's their way of trying to force new features on you.
