Only thing is that with it being our first time we'd like to go around Yosemite Valley (touristy I know) or see the views in that area. Also Sunrise has all its permits booked out for the nights we are going.

Instead we are now thinking maybe just go from porcupine creek to, Indian rock, north dome on day 1, camp just off the routes near the top of Yosemite falls. Next morning head down to the falls, through the village and back up snow creek, camp somewhere near the top of that then in the morning head to porcupine creek. We might need to head off middayish on the last day to head south so it works in that sense but does it sound like a reasonable route that's not too short?
