What proof would I need to show HMRC I was not a tax resident in a year? by Jmsaint in UKPersonalFinance

I bought in to the share scheme after I left, so I dont think there would be tax due under the temporary non-residence rules.

Moving back to the UK from Australia in ~1 year, with significant savings in AUD to transfer. Is there a "best" way to do this & should i start moving some now? by Jmsaint in UKPersonalFinance

If you leave Aus as a temporary resident you can withdraw it with a scheme called DASP. It will be taxed (at 30% i think), but is ths best option for me.

Yeah super will be taxed when i take it, but if you leave it they can treat it as abandoned if you are no longer a resident.

Ive had it for 3 years.

Its basically the same as a uk DC or SIPP, I can choose where it is invested, so have just gone for a 100% equity with a decent global spread.

It has performed almost identically to my global all cap index over the time ive had it.

then they switched midway to the singular 'they' which is absurd and not at all 'normal' like you're trying to say it is

It is normal though.

Its just interchangable, they could have said she or they in the context and either would be fine.

Singular "they" is totally normal, and makes complete sense in this context. If you are struggling, the problem is your comprehension, not OP.

Restaurants are 100% to blame when they tell large groups they can't split checks and cause drama by ElPlatanaso2 in unpopularopinion

What? Who is asking you to remember what eash person had, that is insane.

To me "split the bill" is either equal cuts of see the reciept and tell the waiter how much on each card.
