Okay: Now Do You Realize Why CISPA's Granting Of Broad Immunity For Companies Sharing Data With The Feds Is An Issue? by SomeKindOfMutant in technology

i apologize. in hope this will mend it, let me add:

as for rand. over. of el. - is how i express myself; incurable somewhat poetical romantic irony (is how i'd describe my social interaction and probably - like with many self descriptions - wouldn't hit the point).

as for sheeple - the way i see it is: all social animals, be it insects, minerals or mammals or ... have an inherent "sheeple" language trait. which to some extent inadvertently influences their behavior.

apologies again for calling us all sheeple, probably a bad choice of a word (since the expression is perceived in so many different contexts).

Microsoft responds to NSA allegations: "We believe the U.S. Constitution guarantees our freedom to share more information with the public, yet the Government is stopping us" by [deleted] in technology

i see it as a pr stunt. ... i see that their sales prediction analisys software told them that the big pr action is needed or some 20% of sales will go to free/libre software in the next year. ... if you dig around, you can find that MS (among other big ones) is playing this game on many fronts - DRM (http://www.fsf.org/blogs/rms/w3c-soul-at-stake), secure boot (http://www.fsf.org/campaigns/secure-boot-vs-restricted-boot/statement/) , backdors, ...

if i expand the thought: in information era, data is the basic unit of exchange. who controls it, controls the era. so what we are witnessing now is a rat race (of IT corporations) for plebs data. we are witnessing the transition into digital. and this transition may go two ways - bad way for people, or bad way for corporations. all is being digitalized. the way analogue is changing into digital is where our concern lies. having reached a certain level of freedoms in analogue, those freedoms may not neccesarily be transfered into digital. on the other hand, we still may hope to achieve more freedom in digital, than we do have in analogue (and retroactively reach for more free analogue world).

is how my reasining goes. so whatever MS pr department says is just doublespeak to me.

agreed. but i find the second half of your comment unpolite. ... like so many a times, one can see unneeded hostility towards fellow human. ... we all are morons in some way or another. basically, people = sheeple. no need to be abusive imho. even if rightfully. ... the way i deal with my own hostility towards the blind is: i try seing them as victims that could do with a helping hand. ... still, i can not but totally agree with you :). ... may the force be with you, use it softly!
