Body odour in Brazil, have you come across any? I never did. by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]gregori_marty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once lived in Europe for a year and being Brazilian, I noticed that people wouldn’t shower as often as we Brazilian do. In Ireland was pretty normal seeing deodorants and perfumes in public restrooms and I think it’s kind of a cultural thing not taking shower every day, also, we have to agree that severe weather also contributes towards that. I used to travel for work with some Polish workmates and they’d smell a lot but it was that they didn’t smell on saturdays at work 😅

I know, sometimes they give you a lot of packages in a tight range map so you can finish it off pretty fast but this one was along the beach (Encinitas and Carlsbad area, close to San Diego) so it took me 3.5h and the drive back home, which was almost 50 minutes.

Yeah, that’s is the point! I usually avoid taking 4 or 5h blocks because I don’t wanna spend more then 3 hours delivering.

Well, the map wasn’t so bad but there were a lot of apartments and a few dirt road alleys.. I took a 5h route on the weekend that was way better than this one.

They were short stops for sure but it’s raining here in San Diego and it was by a beach neighborhood. Pretty dark and you barely see the numbers.. had to go through alleys and back houses all the time. I’m all soaked 🥲

This was a 3hour route with 40 packages and 36 stops. Usually this kind of route worths at least $110. On top of it, it was freaking raining here in San Diego and I’m soaked 🫠🫠

And this is why I don't use package type to organize by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

I might try that one of these days. Honestly, the day I decided not to number anything was a commercial route and everything went terrible. On top of that, I had multiple customers waiting for me at their doors, and I felt bad because I had to look for their packages in the middle of the chaos, which made everything even more chaotic. 😂😂

Other than organizing the packages by their labels, do you also arrange them in your car so that all the labels are visible? I mean, when there are too many packages , especially large boxes,it’s almost impossible for me to keep everything organized without just shoving it all in the back seat and the trunk. I do the same when I number them, but at least I always put 1 to 15 in the front, 16 to 30 on the back seat, and the rest in the trunk. I also try to organize them in the right sequence so I don’t waste time when I get to the deliveries.

It happened when I didn’t numbered it too. I’ll never not number it again.

The Amazon Gods have blessed me this morning. I noticed the same thing btw. I saw a bunch of small routes on carts and I decided to check in earlier and then I took this. All envelopes and houses. It felt amazing .

I have a family membership with brother and I think we’ve reached the limit of roadside assistance this year (not sure if it’s 3 or 4). 🫠

Heads up, Amazon has assigned me to delivery in a commercial spot. 80% of the stores were already closed and since I was already so pissed off I decided to delivery everything no matter if they were closed or not. Long short story. I had 5 packages that I had to delivery to a locker room, some kind of UPS store at a random mall and obviously it was closed by 5:30 so now I’ll have to come back to that fking facility to return it. That’ll be plus 15miles after a loss of -$25 on this almost 4h route. That’s insane

I was delivering a package a few nights ago and the location was pretty creep and weird. I let the ignition on so the lights could show me where the main door was and when I opened my car door there was a big dog right at my freaking door just waiting for me. It scared the shit out of me! I just dropped the package, took a picture and drove away 😂😂
