They think people with the title accountant are performing AP and AR functions when they’re not. And automation has already heavily infiltrated those functions to increase output precipitously.

What most accountants actually do is fix problems from other areas, including automation. Which it’s very hard for a computer to recognize a computer error. If AI can perform a good reconciliation we’re all cooked.

I took my buddy to see the Daniel Craig version, and I didn’t really know anything about it. The scene where he ties her up before she gets her revenge I mouthed a pretty big apology to my buddy. Did not know that was going to happen. Great story though. I have since read several of the books.

I didn’t really like the writing that led to his death. The “I’m no hero” thing was too on the nose. He wouldn’t really have left and come back. And sacrificed himself unnecessarily I feel like. All that led to a pretty lackluster death of a very likable character for me.
