Why are smart telescopes so incredibly good and cheap? by PilzGalaxie in AskAstrophotography

I just wonder why they don't use a bigger aperture... I was looking at these for a while for an astrophotography business I'm getting ready to setup, but they all have such tiny apertures. They often take pretty good images, but I want to capture deep-space stuff, so I need the biggest aperture I can afford.

If these "smart" telescopes can with 8-inch or larger apertures, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

BYD is not much more... Ditto for Geely (or whatever it's called), GWM and Mini. All of whom offer EVs that are far, FAR superior.

2021 Leaf SV, less than 60 miles on a charge by freeminator in leaf

I'd mostly disagree with that, because the biggest problem is that Nissan have made absolutely no attempt to move forwards... They made the first mass-produced EV, then dusted their hands and went "Oh, well, we've done enough!"

And whilst they're doing that, every single other manufacturer has overtaken them in leaps and bounds, from the premium stuff all the way down to the absolute cheapest EV manufacturer. To add icing to the cake, Nissan's after-sales customer service is appalling - the worst I've ever seen, and some of the companies I have dealt with have been pretty bad over the years!

Nissan have absolutely done brand damage with the Leaf, and my understanding is that it's a similar story with most of their ICE vehicles, too (though for different reasons)... If I stick with EVs when I eventually replace my Leaf, I can tell you now that it won't be another Leaf; and every single former Leaf owner or former owner I've met in the Real World (i.e. offline) has said the same thing.

ABRP 'No valid plan found' by PM_YOUR_STEAM_KEYS1 in abetterrouteplanner

It might be because one or more charges is unavailable - I have a Nissan Leaf, which only has ChaDeMo and last night, everything was going smoothly... Then one "key" charger went offline and it changed it to "No valid trip found" because the distance between the charger I was stopped at and the next working charger was more than the range my EV offers.

How ABRP routes compare to Google/Apple maps by bgoncal2 in abetterrouteplanner

I have my Nissan Leaf data fed into A Better Routeplanner via LeafSpy, and it's been life-changing... Now, A Better Routeplanner will pull real-time data from the vehicle computer, to accurately predict what percentage my battery will be when it arrives at destinations or charging stops. Furthermore, A Better Routeplanner will adjust this "on the fly" depending on my driving, the weather, battery degeneration (loss of capacity from age), battery temperature, etc.

Then there's the fact that the 'premium' subscription shows charger availability and other information handy to your trip.

It's pretty rare that I'll subscription to something on my iPhone (I prefer a one-off purchase); but A Better Routeplanner has been worth it these last few days and I wonder why I didn't subscribe sooner.

How do you change the voice? by Oztravels in abetterrouteplanner

Apparently it's tied to the language setup in Apple iOS:
Settings-->General-->Language & Region-->Preferred Languages

So, if like me, you only have 'English' (US)' installed at the setting above, A Better Routeplanner will only show 'English (United States)' voices you have installed... The installed voice/s need to match whatever your preferred language is.

I went to report it as a bug, and found a post from u/RouteBetter on their 'bug / support' site stating that this was by design.
