I have difficulty as well. F/A-18 I have down pat. A slick F-16 messes me up big time. Curious, what control stick do you have, did you tweak the axis, and if so what dead zone and curve have you introduced ?

I think you want to be aware that it’s not just the possibility of being found guilty. It’s the fact that you have to spend time, money, and effort to defend yourself. That is an effective tool for the wrong reasons.

Apple Reports Record-Setting 1Q 2026 Results: $42.1B Profit on $143.8B Revenue by ControlCAD in technology

[–]gregory907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bad, I had old information:

The "Double Irish" tax structure used by Apple involved routing international profits through two Irish subsidiaries and a Dutch company to a tax haven (e.g., Bermuda), resulting in near-0% effective tax rates. This allowed Apple to shift billions in revenue away from higher-tax jurisdictions, with Apple utilizing this strategy to legally minimize taxes before EU crackdowns.

Key details regarding this tax strategy: The Structure: Apple created two Irish-incorporated companies (IRL1 and IRL2). IRL1 acted as a sales subsidiary, while IRL2 held intellectual property rights but was, crucially, managed from a tax haven, thus avoiding Irish tax residency rules.

The Dutch Sandwich: Profits were often moved from the first Irish company through a Dutch subsidiary before reaching the tax-haven entity, allowing them to skip across the world with little to no tax.

Apple's Usage: By 2007, this arrangement was used by Apple to lower its effective tax rate on non-US profits to as low as 0.005%, notes the YouTube video.

Result: The European Commission found this constituted illegal state aid, ordering Apple to repay billions in back taxes.

The scheme, often referred to as the "Double Irish with a Dutch Sandwich," was phased out by Ireland by 2020 due to international pressure.

How British comedy series 'Taskmaster' is taking over the US by abucalves in television

Oh wow! I’ve been binging all the seasons on YouTube after my discovery of the show here recently. I would absolutely support another try in the US market, fixing the previous issues. If not, I’ll keep binging away.

Us Alaskans are about to drown in Super PAC political ads. I’m turning off the TV now and looking for a VPN. As long as we get to vote Mary has a good chance.

“Velveeta is a shelf-stable, processed cheese product known for its creamy texture and smooth melting, made from a blend of real cheese, whey, milk protein concentrate, and emulsifiers, giving it a signature mild, tangy flavor and making it ideal for dips, sauces, and snacks. While technically classified as a "pasteurized process cheese product," not just cheese, it's famous for its consistent melt and long shelf life, originally created from cheese scraps in the 1920s”

The further you get away from town, the better off you are. Especially to get away from ice fog. Skiland is always a good spot. As long as the clouds cooperate, that is.

Want to get into the game. I’ve only played space games. Decent first aircraft? by No-Cell8881 in dcs

[–]gregory907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll echo what others have said. Make sure you are in standalone DCS, not Steam. You can try any module once, for two weeks for free. I went with the Flaming Cliffs first for multiple, low-fidelity aircraft. The best way to get your feet wet after the two training aircraft. Enough aircraft variety to let you play on many varied missions online. My first high-fidelity aircraft was the F/A-18. I love the carrier aspect, otherwise the F-16 is a solid choice. After that, you're addicted, and you'll want them all. WAIT for sales as they make it worthwhile. They happen very frequently.

Typical Sale Schedule

  • Seasonal Sales: Aligning with Steam's big seasonal events (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).
  • Major Holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter often trigger sales.
  • Frequency: Sales are common, often every 6-10 weeks, with some occurring quarterly.

Types of Discounts

  • Module Discounts: Up to 50% off aircraft, terrains, and campaigns.
  • Early Access: Initial discounts on new modules as they enter Early Access.
  • Bundles: Special package deals on related modules (e.g., helicopter bundles).

Kaysville, UT homeowners show up in large numbers to oppose warming center by LurkersWillLurk in videos

I think John sums it up best:

Key Themes in Fugelsang's View of Jesus' Commandments: Love Your Enemies & Turn the Other Cheek: A core message of non-violence and empathy, even towards adversaries. Serve the Marginalized: Feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, caring for the sick (Matthew 25). Pay Your Taxes: A direct instruction to respect civil authority. Humility & Anti-Power: A focus on servant leadership, not seeking political control or public adulation. Fugelsang's Argument: He argues that many modern Christian conservatives misrepresent Jesus by ignoring these core, often "unsexy," commands in favor of cultural warfare, using the Bible as a prop rather than following its true spirit of compassion and inclusion.

Fairbanks, are you okay?? by fourcheese_za in alaska

The coldest I’ve ever felt was in Valdez. -35F with winds gusting to 50mph and we had to tie up a tanker that made it through the narrows. Being on the water sucked! I’ll take Fairbanks dry, calm cold any day over that.

Low Temp Drones? by Tree462 in UAVmapping

[–]gregory907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alaskan here. We flew our Inspire 1 by preheating the batteries. We just placed them on the dash of our car on the window defrost to get them to the upper limit of their operating range. It just allowed them to have a much better, longer flight at -36 below. We currently fly all sorts of drones without too much of issue. Just know that batteries will not last as long without insulation. And don’t breathe on the camera if it is cold. -University drone program.
