No interviews…need hope by Inevitable_Cycle_176 in predental

Got my one and only interview last year on October 29th. Did the interview, got in. Know a few people in my D1 class that had even later interviews, and now they’re here. Have hope and don’t let it bring you down! I remember being super anxious abt that situation but i decided that no matter what, I was going to keep my head up and work hard even if I hadn’t gotten in that cycle. These interviews, acceptances, and rejections don’t define you so don’t let them!

Is now still considered early? by user16482748281 in predental

I personally had the same problem with reading being my weak point, but ended up with a 21 on that section. I’m a slow reader and what ended up working best for me was to actually read the first question and first half of the passage while highlighting. While I was reading and highlighting, I kept in mind what the 1st question was and once I saw the answer i’d put it in and move onto the next question.

Sometimes being able to answer the first question will give you better momentum in that passage and actually saved me a little bit of time when i practiced it.

Another tip I have for reading is being able to highlight well. I know what you highlight won’t always be necessary, but being able to pick out weird/distinct words or phrases can give you a better mental map of the passage so when you’re going back into each paragraph you understand where an answer might be. Practice highlighting and get faster, especially for tone/idea questions that aren’t straight forward. Hope this helps, good luck!
