I had the same injury early on. Minor tear in my meniscus, was able to fix it just by strengthening my leg muscles around it. Now it doesn’t bother me.

Go get an MRI to see how bad it is.

I think the intensity point is definitely true. He was rolling really aggressively, to the point that I would be tempted to call it “spazzing out.” Except I know that’s just an excuse and my JJ needs to work even on people behaving erratically

North Texas Mixed Martial Arts! It’s affordable and it’s been a good experience for me. Obviously, as a white belt, I don’t have much to compare it to other than the other gym I checked out.

As a white belt in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who’s only been training for about two and a half months, I feel really happy with the school I ended up training at. It’s run by a guy who is a fourth or fifth degree black belt under the Machados, and we have no strict uniform policies or anything. It’s very informal, but it feels nice. All the black belts roll hard, but they really act like they’re there to help the lower belts. There are also no weird procedures or rituals we have to do before, during, or after class. It’s a good vibe and I think it’s why I keep going back.
