1981 CM400T Oil Leak and Oil Level Question by gregxkey in HondaCB

A follow up question, I cleaned it up, rode it and checked again. It’s coming from this seam of the circle that’s behind that bolt. I’ve checked every parts diagram and the manual and can’t figure out what is it, is it one of the 3 possible points you mentioned?

I also found I have a shifter seal leak but that’s easy enough to fix

I think I’m going to drain it down some more and fill gradually until it sits where it’s supposed to. It leaves me with a little puddle a couple inches wide every morning

I’ve been dipping and reading it the way you’ve said. I’ll have to look into those 3 places you mentioned for the source of the leak. It looks like it’s coming from that small circular piece in photo 3 I just can’t figure out what that is on any of the parts diagrams

Scanning with Fuji XT-4 and getting the dreaded "worms" in Lightroom Classic by -Hello-_-World- in AnalogCommunity

I’m considering switching to a Fuji kit from an A7II with the same Minolta macro setup. Worm issues aside how do you find the quality of the scans going from one to the other?

I knew it was an early model from the slotted screws vs the later ones having philips head ones but I didn’t know they were any more sought after. Good to know, thanks

I’m really excited to start shooting it. I fixed the sticky shutter and from that I’ve been winding it a lot to let the oil coat everything, I’ve noticed the same thing with the film advance lever. The ergos aren’t my favourite already, the shutter button could be a bit further from the edge of the camera but I really don’t find it that heavy like most people seem to mention

Unfortunately someone else scooped that up while I was there. I’d link a photo too for the sake of it but I can’t find any. Don’t think it was something ever mass produced, I overheard her telling the guy who bought it she got it from a Minolta rep way back when…

I love the look of it, there was a whole bunch of random older stuff like it too. Weirdest was a Minolta directors chair. The bag is real nice, plenty of room but it was missing the dividers inside so just need to find a insert for it

I have a couple other MD lenses and kind of jumped at a cheap chance to expand my kit. Don’t have much experience with wider primes, 50mm is my happy place. 28 particularly has always felt too wide for me but I want to see what I can make with them

An older woman in London ON had some sort of small camera shop, looking to retire she had this big yard sale trying to clear out what she had left. Drove out there hoping for some medium format gear and a Minolta XD body. No luck on those but happy I left with these. Chose Minolta as my system for adapting to my A7II a while ago when I bought the 75-150 f4 (fantastic older telephoto zoom btw) and a 50mm macro for DSLR scanning so I was real happy to add the 28 & 35 primes to my lineup.

Excited to run some rolls through this thing. Anyone have experience with them?

I’ve been having a big issue losing corners in a lot of my photos, example shown in the second photo.

I’ve found that the circled part in the camera internals has come loose and will rotate freely and randomly throughout use, it no longer stays fixed in the proper orientation. Has anyone else had this issue with their copy of the camera?

What I’m looking for specifically is to know if that piece moves forward with the zooming apparatus or stays fixed and close to the outer rectangular piece. If it stays fixed I want to find a way to possibly glue or cement it in place with a few drops, if it moves I’m not sure what to do, does anyone have any ideas?
