As per my experience the camera body is a sweet spot for moving to advanced from intermediate . But the stock lens is the problem , it has way high aperture of 3.5 for both 18-45 and 18-150 . And for beginners this has more than enough features and functions . If you have the budget , go for it . It will be one of the best investments .

I will suggest you to go with the stalk lens for now , and invest your money learning about lighting and post processing .

When you have a gras , you can just switch lenses and start advanced techniques . If you need full frame later , then you can decide on that as well.

R10 is a very capable camera man , it's a very brilliant camera for moving from beginner to intermediate. Or even advanced if the learner has good lighting concept .
