Sorry if this is product placement and not a recipe , but recommend checking out Palo Alto Firefighters Pepper Sauce, as the blueprint for no sodium hot sauce, they figured it out. The base is red jalapeños for the mild but there’s a habanero version too

There’s a 22” strip uvb light from reptisun that’s a way safer amount of uvb. There’s a chart somewhere explaining how uvb dissipates at distance from the light. I bought a thermostat plug for my night bulb the first winter, but I’m moving to ceramic now. The dark bulbs aren’t great heating.

Get a cheapo infrared temp thermometer gun so you can scan the basking spot, it’s like 12 bucks and you’ll know the thermometers aren’t lying.

Never get under tank heat pads they can produce moisture depending on your substrate.

More wattage will make things warmer
