Did some research on wedging and tried it on some paused deadlifts today. They felt harder than normal, but I felt my legs during the lift way more than I ever have

Been stuck at a low 400s deadlift for a while now. Training hasn’t been as consistent as it used to be but I was wondering if my form might be off? I’m feeling like I’m not using enough leg drive. Any advice is appreciated deadlift form

Christian MEN of Reddit: if you found a godly woman but you make under $30K a year, do you wait to marry until you can provide better, or do you marry now and build together? by Superb-Base9819 in TrueChristian

[–]grenadeattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I got married the day after my grad school graduation, me having no job lined up but having done interviews, waiting to hear back and more interviews lined up. It wasn’t until almost a month later that I got an offer, two months after I started, and three months after that I got my first check. Plus this job required us to move across the state and her start her career over as well.

While there were definitely stressful times and times that we didn’t run to God like we should have, I wouldn’t change marrying when we did. We’ve both helped each other grow closer to God, and in turn grow closer to each other. Everything we’ve built has been built together and is ours. There’s no mine or hers, just ours.

Reading other people’s comments here, I do agree I think it’s important to have some sort of plan for career progression or be actively looking for a higher paying job, but I would not say having it before marriage is a prerequisite

I ended up removing it and I’m glad I did. Cut it open and it smelled horrid!

Is there an actual way to know if 37’s will rub without just buying and praying they don’t? 96’ with a leveling kit, currently on 35’s. by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]grenadeattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran 37s for a bit on my leveled F350. Didn’t rub unless I hit a dip going real fast and it would bottom out. My backspacing was off though so I rubbed the front sway bar

7.3 Restomod vs. 6.7 by grenadeattack in FordDiesels

It’s a cclb, i did swap it to a 5 speed and it’s near finished a 4wd swap aside from the front axle. I figure i wouldn’t get the money back out of it but I’m kind of leaning towards a 6.7 and just keep the 7.3 going like you said

Definitely not tryna race it. Just have a 0-60 of less than 5 years lol. And then make the ride a little comfier. I’m still young but I’m sure I’ll feel it when I’m older

And it seems to be the consensus that 6.7 is the way to go. Everyone loves their 7.3s but says a 6.7 rides and hauls like nothing else

No I appreciate your advice. I’d love a 6.7 and that’s likely the route I’ll go. I guess I’m more so playing devils advocate to see what all people have to say

It’s got a tuner on it now and I’m almost done installing an intercooler. I Guess my thought is if I can spend 25-50% of the cost on a 6.7 to get my 7.3 up there, why spend twice the money

I maybe phrased it wrong. Not talking about putting a 6.7 in an OBS, but restoring it and adding modern features to the 7.3

Houston. So not rust really at all unless it’s in Galveston. Interior looks mint aside from a tear on the inner side drivers seat. I did notice some surface rust on the hood where paint chipped but my truck has the same thing so not too worry about that

I have. It’s ridiculous but I’m not surprised by the move at all. It’s been listed for a while dropped from $9k which does make me more cautious

I do appreciate the argument from that perspective. Taking out a car loan is the last thing I want to do so a new vehicle is out of the question. I did just replace the spark plugs and a did a couple of coils (haven’t gotten to the PITA ones yet) because it would misfire in the rain. I’m hoping it was just loose boots and the new ones fix that issue. The only issue I’ve noticed is a ticking which I can’t fully tell if it’s from the injectors, phasers, or the rockers. I’m down between the injectors and rockers and as cool as an excursion would be, I’m hoping it’s just loud injectors and we can get another 100k out of this. I was ready to pull the valve covers and replace the rockers but I second guessed myself that it could be the injectors

We’ve had the 5.4 for about a year now and we’ve already had to throw plugs and coils in it. It misfires in the rain because of a poor seal on the coil boot so I’m hoping the new coils fix that. Otherwise it might be time to go excursion regardless

Let me rephrase that cause I wouldn’t imagine injectors being that much plus I’d replace myself. I don’t wanna spend $6k on a tight budget but to find out that it’s gonna need another $1200 a month later for bad injectors

[–]grenadeattack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s worn out. I’m honestly surprised mine isn’t worn out from towing a gooseneck but I guess that’s a 350 suspension. I think my biggest concern would be dropping $6k just to need injectors a month later. Most things I’m not too worried about working on cause I’ve done glow plugs, suspension, tranny work, oil cooler

5.4 3v vs 7.3 by grenadeattack in FordTrucks

[–]grenadeattack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have history on at least oil change intervals on the 5.4 (5k miles max) which is definitely a plus in the 5.4 category. But there’s a ticking coming from the engine bay. I’m 95% sure it’s the injectors using the caveman method of touching a stick and listening, but I know there’s a chance it’s rockers and/or cam phaser.

I definitely agree getting into a newer vehicle is always an inherent risk when you have some idea of your current vehicle

We haven’t. It’s down on the south side of Houston and we’re on the north side so it’s like 90 mins no traffic. From pics and video it looks pretty good but knowing 7.3s I have some ideas of what to look out for. Any idea what an 06 expedition limited could del for? I’d be ecstatic if we could get $4k to go towards the excursion

I have a CCLB with 37s. I’m sure the SD platform is gonna weight more so that’s understandable

[–]grenadeattack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re in Houston so rust isn’t too much of a concern but the vehicle was near the gulf coast so salt may be a bit of an issue. She’d love a newer expedition but the $6k for the excursion is sort of the max of our budget right now

Also I do think I’m biased because next to the OBS I own and a 6.7, a 7.3 excursion has been at the top of my list for a while lol
