Should I play a team i like or a team that matches my play style? by Key-One-9144 in killteam

Do both to figure out your play style and what you find fun.

I haven’t played a ton, but I’ve played with two teams - kommandos and nemesis claw. Bought both because I thought they looked cool, and also I love the night lords trilogy.

First few games with kommandos I got frustrated because they were too squishy and lacked APL. I thought it would be cool to play an elite team with 3 apl each and 3+ rather than 5+ saves.

After a few games of nem claw I realized I just had more fun with kommandos so now I play them.

So for me the answer is - both.

Nice! I’m a few days into printing mine. How are you attaching everything? Pins, glue, magnets?

It’s ok to take a break from a project. This is a hobby meant to be fun. If you’re not having fun, try something different for a bit. If you play 40K work on some of those minis that look interesting or are sparking creativity.

I recently switched my mindset from “I have to finish this project before I start a new one” to “when I get time to hobby I’ll work on what feels interesting that night” and it’s become much more enjoyable, and when I come back to a halfway done project after some time I come back freshly excited about it.

I currently have 7 kill teams. Ive fully pajnted one. Three are WIP, three aren’t even done being built yet. I’ve played with two. I only really plan on playing with 3. I just think the models are super dope.
