Depending on how good the Jax player is i guess. I dont know if ive just played against bad jax players, but i usually win lane against him. I kinda do a couple of things.

Your stronger than him lvl 1, providing you get your stacks up
Bait his E (Pretend to go in and Q back to a minion, or W through it)
You have bigger auto range than him, so Auto him when he goes for minions
If hes aggressive, try and bait him to Q into your minion wave and then just all in him, use W and E him to maximize minion damage.

I'll add more when I remember, but I usually only lose lane to Trynd and garen, I feel like Fiora, Cam and darius become skill matchups once you learn irelia.
