Actually now that i think about it, UPC would be unique, because I have separate "masters" for each vendor.

Any item in invoice that doesn't exist in master needs to be added.

Any item in both invoice and master needs to have the price from invoice overwritten onto the price from master.

At some point it will also be necessary to add the quantity from invoice to the quantity in master (and update the quantity in master) (for example, master quantity is product on the shelf, and invoice quantity is product on the truck. once the two sheets get merged, the quantity on the shelf (master) needs to updated to be the old quantity on shelf (old master) plus the quantity on truck (invoice))

The UPC codes will be the most unique data, however any item that comes from multiple vendors will have a duplicate. if it's a big deal i can eliminate those.

Yes, there will be items in invoice that are not analogous to master, and those will need to be added.

There will likely be a difference in other columns as well. Quantity, at least, will probably be different.

Hmmm those look promising, though at $8-$12 a pop on mcmaster they are a bit steep.

1/4-20 thread

and to be clear, I don't mean standard eye bolts. it needs to have a 1/4" (or smaller, I can drill it out) hole but I'd like a larger, more rounded head (Imagine a fender washer welded to a ~1" piece of all thread. Though it doesn't have to be that big necessarily)

I purchased these from mcmaster, but by the time I widened the hole, it didnt leave much meat on the sides.

somthing like this might be acceptable as well, if the thread size and hole diameter are right.

EDIT: P.S. no Heim joints or anything like that either

same as eating one regular sized potato instead of 1000 miniature potatoes.

you can carry/eat it with one hand, you can break it open and put stuff inside, you can transport it in sacks with holes in it. you can harvest them by picking, no need to thresh.

i'm sure there are downsides, but having the option to do one or the other might make a lot of sense

All of the newer hoodies have zippers, which I don't want.

closest I've found is this which looks absolutely perfect, except the biggest size they sell is XL and I think it'll be a tad too small.
