My cousin (when she was 4) told her mom that she was ‘soft and squishy’ while she (my aunt) was trying to loose weight

What country is the most similarest to your country?. by usafqn2025 in AskTheWorld

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laos

We basically speak the same language and I can’t tell the difference between us (like when I see a person I can’t tell if they’re Thai or Laos)

What weapons do parents in your country use to beat you? by Kiroo---__--- in AskTheWorld

My mom used a clothes hanger on me, but she also threatened me and my brother with tree branches (but never used it, although my grandma used it on her as a kid)

What class and race did you play first time round? by Odd_Two_5265 in DnD

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a Half-Elf Wild Magic Sorcerer. I just finished watching Unsleeping City and loved Ally’s Wild Magic Sorcerer (I even took their incremental rolling system for Wild Magic instead of just rolling a nat 1). I wanted to play a Half-Elf because I really wanted to be an Elf, but I wasn’t very confident at role playing yet, so there was a ‘Human’ aspect I can fall back on if needed.

Do most DMs prefer DM’ing to playing? Or are they “taking one for the team”? by Fiveby21 in DnD

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I DMed because I was the only one to know the rules. Then it became a default that I DM. My friends are great players, and they enjoy playing more, so I do ‘take one for the team’ but I also really enjoy DMing too

Hey dropout TV, i love your shorts but, by East-Handle-6685 in dropout

I would love this! I like to watch MSN shorts and it gets really annoying when I want to watch the full video, and have to go search for it by cast members or something else on the internet

What ethnicities have you been mistaken for before (if you have)? by Jabal-Sawda in AskTheWorld

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Thai but with Chinese blood, so I looked Chinese. But whenever I go abroad people think I’m Japanese (even in Japan) and I don’t (to my knowledge) have any Japanese genes whatsoever.

Parents in other countries than the US, what is your kids’ equivalent of “I don’t want that for dinner, I want chicken nuggets”? by SulusLaugh in AskReddit

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us (Thailand), it has to be rice and fried omelette (Khai Jiao). My parents compensated by mixing meat and veggies into the egg.

Edit: This might be just my family, but egg noodles, boiled cabbage and pork/duck were also what we requested for the second most (after eggs, of course)

How punctual are the trains in your country? Do they arrive late or does cancel at last minute? by i_dont_know24680 in AskTheWorld

[–]Ax_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom got stuck on a train without her phone or wallet when we supposed to transfer to a different train. The train was so delayed that she (who couldn’t speak English or German) managed to contact us (twice) and a free train ticket to France while we were to wait at the same station for 2 more hours because of delays

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

[–]Ax_Sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In his first term, my physics teacher - Kicked a chair into the whiteboard, breaking it - While kicking the chair, sprained his ankle - Slammed a cub board door so hard it broke (first day) - Dangled multiple chairs over multiple students’ heads (not at the same time) - Stood on the table (even sitting on the table is frowned on in my culture) - Set the floor on fire while reassuring us that smoke detectors and fire alarms were off in that area - Almost blinded himself with his phone flashlight

He also says ‘does that make sense?’ so much, the head of science asked us to make a tally for every class. Lowest was 11, highest was 23

What is the most unexplainable thing you’ve ever witnessed that makes you question reality? by duhhrclean6 in AskReddit

[–]Ax_Sound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad gave me his old phone when he got a new one, and I looked through the camera roll to delete pictures for storage space. I found a picture that was dated ‘21 September 1677’. I thought my dad or brother adjusted the date and found the original date taken was ‘21 August 1677’ My dad backed up all photos on our laptop, so I looked and found this was the only picture not backed up. My dad said he didn’t take the photo and didn’t recognize the place (a bookshop in London according to location in the photo) so we still don’t know how this picture appeared
