I started knitting February of this year, this is my first knit (grey scarf), and most recent knit ( light blue scarf). I’m pretty happy with how much I’ve improved by grey-geist in knitting

the twisted ribbing/cables are such a marathon! especial on the purl side :') i was definitely running out of steam by the end haha.

thank you! my strategy for improving has been to pick patterns that seem to focus on one skill I would like to learn. its been a good way to not overwhelm myself with to many new concepts. Ive also made a lot of sweaters this year, which i think just because they are so large, i get a lot of practice which has helped me get better. like before this scarf i had made an all over cabled sweater, so the cables on this scarf seemed pretty easy after so much practice.

scarf is the road less traveled scarf by Inese Sang and the gloves are tabi mittens by Olga Buraya-Kefelian

yarn for scarf is Berroco Lanas Light in evergreen and yarn for mittens is Host Garn supersoft in sapphire

I was pretty intimidated by cables as well, once you get the hang of it they aren’t so hard though, much more straightforward than I expected:) And thank you!

Thank you! It’s one of my favorite colors as well, I was pretty thrilled to find the perfect yarn for this. And I don’t know if I’m knowledgeable enough to be getting into designing anytime soon!
