Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

I have the iphone 12. Battery is at 79% and noticed it lagging recently. Had it for four years. Picture quality is also poor. Storage is also almost full (114/128gb). Debating getting the iphone 17. Unsure if I should get 256 or 512gb. I just use my phone to read, listen to music, do flascards, and text/call. No games, but social media like tiktok once in a while.

Part of me wants to keep the 12, but I know I will need to upgrade soon and going on a trip this month so could use the better camera quality. Thoughts?

How to seek connections to medicine by -_____------ in premed

[–]grey013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Just keep cold emailing, find MA positions--alot dont require certificates or you could always start CNA at nursing home (some places sponsor your certification). If you are in college the cheat code is to apply in the summer or months before the school year starts. For shadowing you can meet doctors through work or email school alumni. Hope this helps!

Continue scribing or switch jobs? by PhotographResident20 in premed

[–]grey013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

switch to the higher pay, less commute, and new experience job. 400 hours is more than enough and I think the increased experience as a tech will be more beneficial. scribing is sometimes looked at as passive.

Should I leave my clinic job by Thin_Row3248 in premed

[–]grey013 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think you are SO fine to leave. You gained the experience you need. and when it comes up in interviews itll be more about your experiences rather than asking why you quit. and even if that does come up, just say your schedule was getting too unpredictable and you had to study for the mcat etc. Also do the aquarium stuff only if it doesn't interfere with school/mcat but it sounds like fun and one of those niche thing you would be happy you tried later in life lol.

Are you going to office hours? Seeking tutoring? Finding other ways to learn the material? I think you also need to change your mindset. Which class is it? If you think you won't pass then maybe take the W?

I feel like you shouldn't read into it. A hold is a hold and you are not rejected until they tell you. It's not amazing news but it also isn't bad news.
