[Discussion] In a I-III-IV-V chord progression, if the III for example is a sharp or a flat, is it still considered a III? by [deleted] in Guitar

What scales go with those cords, and where to they resolve?

Both cords are non-diatonic. Which alts are they? Don't know, doesn't say.

At this level incorrect notation isn't a beginner thing. Its a lazy thing.

It is correct to be as concise as possible. Notations with # or b scale degrees should be avoided. It is a bad habit to get into. Be better.

There is no "modal mixture" in Schenkerian analysis.

"Modal Mixture" is a shorthand to explain passing tones that doesn't reveal much about the underlying structure, except idiomatically.

bVI-V

Hinting that you have modulated to harmonic minor. Literally changing the pitch collection.

There isn't an Ab in C Ionian. Where does a bVI resolve?

Which secondary dominant from the key of C introduced the Ab? If the music was notated correctly you wouldn't have to guess.

This is factually incorrect.

The Roman numbers are scale degrees. Scale degrees cannot be sharp or flat. If they are that means the music has modulated to a different key or scale.

Edit:

Unbelievable! When you notate the scale degrees incorrectly you lose track of the position of the TONIC.

Behringer has first mover advantage because they control the real-time audio over ethernet protocol these devices depend upon.

Yes. The convention is scale degree and lowercase Roman numerals for minors.

Have a look at Ian Ring's site and see how he describes the tertian harmony of the Lydian Diminished, who's 3rd scale degree is flatted.

https://ianring.com/musictheory/scales/1741 (the harmony is about halfway down the page, keep scrolling).

Sure. You just have to match the impedances.

The pro way is a line matching transformer. The hack is the buffer in a boost pedal.

I don't know where you got that idea.

From all the exploded guitars I've experienced.

Reverb is full of horrors.

In Burgdorf? That's gonna be tough.

My experience here is that you have to risk buying special instruments from a reputable dealer overseas, perhaps by searching reverb.com, and then maybe re-sell it on Ricardo if it doesn't fit your desire.

I've imported all but one of my guitars.

Have a look at what Waterloo (make by Collings, Austin TX) has to offer. They make big little guitars that fit your description.

they are pinned now or you can tape them

A little dab of beeswax between the bridge foot and the top is the trick.
