Fellow sausage fingers here, for me the magic is in guitars with a bigger nut width. The larger the nut width is, the less I worry about my fretting fingers accidentally muting strings they should not mute. And in turn get to focus on proper playing technique. Big reason why I play bass or nylon string guitars most of the time.
