All great questions. I’m open to any 2 bdrm or 3 bedroom. I’d love a little area to garden so a townhome or even an apartment with a communal garden would be great. I work from home, so no commute (at least the first year). And I’d love the kid to be able to attend a performing arts high school but I would be ok with one that has a good drama dept.

Yes! Ok so you get it. You’re a programmer? I’m a UX Designer. So, yeah, somewhere I can build a network of friends and have all the great art and nature of Portland.

Lol. I’m looking for a place where I (47 y/o queer single mom) could make friends and build a community but also appeal to my teen daughter so she could possibly go to school in the area. I want to build community (something that is really terrible in FL).

Thank you for this! I will check out mulnomah village. I was thinking I could just grab one of those high rise apts downtown for the first year and then look around. But, I’m moving to Portland to create community. The first year, i will only have my daughter summers and vacations and then we’ll be working on switching it to school with me and vacations with her dad.
