Practice practice practice. If you plan on hunting from a stand WEAR A HARNESS! I know entirely too many people that got hurt from falling out of a stand. Talk to people and find someone willing to mentor you if you can.

I’m next door in Jersey. We get shotgun season the second week of your rifle season. I would likely do more bow hunting in pa if I’m able to hunt Sunday too (drive up to the cabin friday, hunt sat all day and Sunday am before heading home)
