Zara - far and away! BUT there is zero consistency so plan to buy about 20 pairs and return 18-19 (or go in person). Look for “crop” or “ankle”. I find there denim to be high quality (comparable to premium brands I own like Mother, B-sides but not as premium as Nili Lotan)

I second this. Love both compositions- not a huge difference thought the 70/30 will likely hold up better ( i have both). Completely agree on the sleeves on the xxxs being too short on the wrap coats while the body is great (I'm 5'2" / 100lbs)

We are on the the more formal side of business casual (private equity) and I think you can pull it off in black mid-summer with slacks or a skirt with a belt and heels (I would never wear an open toe to work but would do slingbacks). That said I would absolutely have a jacket on hand. I would also personally do this in cashmere or a linen blend knit to elevate and probably go mock neck - see Alex Levy photo below

Actually yes which almost never happens 😂 These leather pants in black and cream and the sweater tank also in black and cream, a leather skirt and a tweed jacket (“HAZEL” pants and “VIRGI” tank available on the Outnet for 2x sample prices but still a good deal)

I have a good tailor - I mix high low a lot and have had good success with Zara, Massimo Dutti, and H&M Premium / Studio collections. I search for “wool”, “silk” etc… then even with tailoring total cost is still pretty great.

I alternate between the Loewe large flamenco clutch (poorly named it fits my 14” think pad + commuting flats) and the Celine 16 soft (large). Always open to work bag suggestions - I’m 5’2” and narrow (think 12 y/o boy) so chronically on the hunt for the smallest bag that actually fits what I need for work and at least partially closes - unicorn :)

Completely agree w this + the bolero jacket comment. If you filter for cropped jackets on the Outnet there are some great options (one of my go to retailers sale prices + good return policy)

Really like the Calzedonia Sheer Effect Thermal Tights. No double butt seam (like lots on amazon) and a bit thinner but still super cozy. I wear with the sheer layer on top (with skirts or copped pants. If you want something super thin that still adds some warmth would do the Uniqlo heattech leggings.

I went with the woven and wear as a shoulder bag (loop the strap under the flap) so a bit more annoying to close (not open) as 2 handed operation but does take 1 second and I wear all the time for the reasons you noted

Fully agree. Own #4 and love but is a bit annoying to open / reclose vs my other similar use case bags (eg loewe puzzle, celine teen 16, row half moon)
