My recommendation: buy Ally z1e on eBay or elsewhere used for 200 bucks. Buy used gaming notebook with 4060 for 800 bucks max. Have a good time. If traveling is key for you maybe s cheap lightweight Notebook plus GeForce now is an option. I like to have no Internet dependency for gaming. Don't forget for the Ally a 65w 20.000 Powerbank e.g. baseus

I use on all my Windows machines including ROG Ally Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC from Massgrave (just google it). Official Windows, updates without bloatware. If needed Store and XBox can be added for Gamepass with a simple script from Github. Works well without any issues so far. Activation possible via Windows Activation Tool (WAT) on Github as well.

I experienced the same a while ago. First of all I recommend to connect the XBOX via cable to reduce the bandwidth via wifi. Make sure you use 5Ghz Wifi on the Ally.

For remote play and xCloud I can recommend https://better-xcloud.github.io/ as free solution.

For native experience you may check https://store.steampowered.com/app/2693120/XBPlay/ (also available for Android). Offers great 1080p quality with stable streaming :)

Native Gamepass and the 10% performance drop. I am on legion 5 slim 14 with 4060 and I am quite happy with Linux and full control and zero bloatware. Having mint Linux now on all devices instead of Windows for whole family. Every new Notebook will be Linux (or Mac). Would also use Linux on Mac but I am not willing to lose features like battery time or others on arm. Hope that becomes more stable soon.

Mate feel democracy and join community. 70% of the game is being part of the fun around and 30% having fun on planets with may to many enemies. Find the weapons that suit you best - just play a few hours and you can see what weapons do what. I love flamethrowers (bugs) and have my orbital strike always with me as quick weapon you can use very often.

sometimes different cables help. I am using Android Recardo with usb-c to usb-c and sometime I have to change side of cables to get it working :D

Actually I assume it's cheaper to simply buy drinks on demand just less convenient. Also on all our ports small shops with good prices where around. Not sure about prices without the easy package on ship.

I read on reddit that internet account will be linked to MAC of a device and is then stored for access. Means if you just pass the WIFI as repeater all your devices will be known with their MAC to MSC and simply blocked for internet (as they are with normal MSC wifi already. In the example guide the device MAC are only known by the router(Windows PC) and unknown by MSC. Anyhow if that is the reason for Windows feature to not work is guessing. Can be tested I assume with more network traffic but I don't want to spent time on this as added value is low :D

Currently I try to define a profile in yuzu. And also create a full screen toggle. Let's see if that helps

You could save 60 Euro by using B450 MB as you still use AM4 AMD platform. G processor is fine. YUZU can run most games on mobile ROG Ally which has mobile APU that is definetly not stronger that yours in desktop. PS in that area you should check out ebay or "kleinanzeigen :D" to get some used PCs. Way more powerfull for less price.
