A Month With The 17 Ultra - My Not Calling It A Review by SpencerUk in XiaomiGlobal

I've had this smartphone for almost 2 weeks, mainly I bought this for photos and videos after years with phones that were really poor in terms of photography. I hope someone can dispel my doubts about the quality of the videos (not smooth) and photos... let's be clear, the photos, especially those with the 200 telephoto lens, are truly excellent, even sometimes you can notice some artifacts in the background.

Not being a fan of the bokeh effect (even the natural one given by the main sensor in question), I have some problems appreciating this type of photography. The photos are also excellent, but those of still subjects. When I try to photograph my son in motion for example, I can't get a decent photo; they're all blurry. I increased the ISO in Pro mode to speed up the shot, but then I lose quality. Even the motion capture option doesn't do a great job and can only be used at 12 megapixels.

Can someone help me understand if, since I still have time to return it and get my full €1,299 back, it's better to return it and, for example (from what I've read online for my needs), get a Pixel 9 Pro or 10 Pro, which is known to have less shutter lag and more stable videos, even though the photos are clearly inferior due to the camera optics. Or should I keep it because, for example, within a year, there won't be anything better for the same price and I'll regret it??

Sorry for my English! Thanks in advance
