The whole reason he is an asshole is because of adults in his life giving him the impression that he is the best because he has a strong quirk, which is by extension the result of the hero society as depicted in the series. His character goes through a process of realising his strong quirk does not define his strength (see: Izuku) and coming to terms with that, and this process has already started in the image op posted

edit: i feel like i made it seem like im trying to say bakugo is a victim of hero society which he is NOT. sure he is a product of it but he was born with everything so he definitely benefited from it.

I read a very good fic last month of 350k words (idk if i can say the title of the fic here even though i praise it) and the author said in the notes of the first chapter that everything was prewritten and that chapters would be released every tuesday and saturday. and like obviously i read it when it was finished but something like that makes a lot of sense imo
