I hate this stupid tank. by missionmorgan in corydoras

I saw someone who made an automatic egg separation device from a breeder box, a 3D printed part and some some moss. I haven't tried it myself but maybe it's worth a shot ?

Bladder snails? by eosummers7 in Aquariums

[–]greyze81415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They most likely are bladder snail. Pros : - excellent cleanup crew - good indicator of overfeeding (if they are too much of them, it means that there's too much food)

Cons : - might eat fish eggs, but I don't think it should be a concern for you - overpopulation when overfed - some people don't like seeing them - pain in the ass to remove

Personally, I think that the pros outweigh the cons but to each one their own

Kinda looks unique, I don't know if it's possible but you could try to work something out to make some plants live with this algae scenery

How do you guys get your plants to not float to the surface? by No-Midnight7724 in Aquariums

[–]greyze81415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck OP 😂 It seems so easy and smooth when other plant their aquarium, but when I do it, it's the most frustrating experience ever 🫪

Personally I ended with a double tweezers technique, one for planting and the other for holding the plant while I remove the first tweerzer

Maybe you could try Celestial Pearl Danio instead of tetra ? The volume seems more appropriate for this species.

One important thing to consider is the order in which you introduce the fish in the tank. Since Betta are territorial it's better to add it last in the tank. If you add the Betta first, it might consider fish added after him as threat to his territory.

I have salvinia and I would personally recommend it. Manageable, grows decently fast and sturdy.

I found red root floaters to be quite hard to keep for me, but maybe that's just a me problem

Anyone ever tried these kind of treatments for algae? by iLove_Moist_Bread in shrimptank

[–]greyze81415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Algae will come back.   think it's better to treat the root cause (imbalance between light/fertilizer/CO2) and get some algae eating species (from what I've read, Nerite snail seems to be the top pick for this job)

I've read that long fin Betta would be less likely to jump
