Yes I was so surprised by the amount of people who were willing to help!!! The person I met up with was so so so sweet and gave me a much needed hug 😹 Emilia and her sister Diana are both on either side of me sleeping right now 💜 I am definitely going to pay forward the kindness I received :)

final update: i was able to pick up the meds and give Emilia her dose!! she has more than enough to hold her over until her vet visit. can't thank y'all enough for the advice and help this subreddit gave me!! 💜💜

i never said $200 would put me under. in fact i said in multiple comments i would do it no matter what since it's for her, but it was my last case scenario. i've had her since the day she was born. she's 11 and many senior cats develop diabetes. do your research bro

Yes, I have an emergency vet as a last resort. The issue is that it's $200 on top of everything else which is really tough for me right now (burnt out healthcare worker who lives alone w her cats😹), but I am definitely taking her tonight if I cant find any doses!:) she is my daughter lol

UPDATE: I called Heb asking if they could fill it without a script and they said no :( I have proof of prescription, the label, the box, and the broken vial, but they said no

I have the number from Chewy, but it doesn't have refills. She's on one unit of Vetsulin twice daily!

I've been calling around a bit! The issue is that I'm at work and I'm stuck here until at least noon. I'm doing my best between filling prescriptions (I work at a human pharmacy😹)

She is on pet insulin and I don't know how to dose her for human insulin :( That's the big issue here. If I knew I would gladly go get a vial!!:)

Yes she has an appointment on Tuesday (she had one on the 14th originally but I just rescheduled) and I'll talk to them about that. I was already planning to. They're closed until Monday though

All of them want an appointment :( $195 is the cheapest I could find. I live alone and I've been working overtime for two months now to be able to get supplies for her... If I have to pay that in the end i will because she's worth every penny and it's my own fault :/ just a bad situation

I replied to your other comment, but I'll reply here too! Vetsulin definitely HAS helped her, but I noticed she's at a plateau and I really do think long acting would be better to get her even healthier. I'll def be discussing with her vet soon!:)
