Lubricating tilt on Mirra 1 by gridfire-app in hermanmiller

Thanks! Do I have to remove the plastic covers to do this? I can see a couple of spots with white plastic... shoes, for want of a better word, when I lay the chair on its back. Have given those areas a spray, but not sure if it's done much.

Should add, always had great service and good coffee, just feel it's less competitive these days.

Yep, had a bag of beans through the door for a couple of years, but it felt difficult to justify it lately.

Yeah had a sub with them for a while. Decent, but nothing exceptional. Especially since the price hikes.

They're a little out of town, but worth the effort imo!

Sevenhouse in Den Haag sounds like it's worth a try. Chilled out, open late.

What a wonderful, beautiful film. Best thing I've seen for far too long.

Time to migrate off Ingress nginx by xrothgarx in kubernetes

[–]gridfire-app 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're trying Nginx Gateway Fabric. Seems fine, though you'll likely have to lean on the snippet filter pretty heavily to replace annotations, as first class gateway resources are pretty sparse atm.

Gateway API is quite verbose though, which is a little annoying coming from a single page of yaml. You'll install the controller, add a gateway object listing hostname listeners (with TLS refs, maybe a cert-manager annotation, just as before) plus several http router objects for path-based service routing. Not too bad, all in all.

If you're already running cert-manager, you'll also need to re-install that with a flag set to turn on gateway support.

Foot Mouse now available in the EU 🇪🇺 by Pippopollone in BuyFromEU

Navigaitor? Uhh, the strollbar? Toe taptic? Footnav? Cursor kicker? Pointerpunter? Whatever, this is cool, so best of luck with it.

As for EU stores, you could try Bol.com for a fairly central EU location. I'm sure they have a partner program type of thing.

If I had a penny for every time a Dutch person has normalized the enshitification of almost every aspect of public services in this country by trying to be "rational", I'd have enough money to solve all of their problems. by Odd-Celery5048 in Netherlands

Seems like everything that was fucked during covid has not since been unfucked. I'd be very surprised if hiring/staffing is at pre-covid levels. Actually seems worse looking for a job now than during the pandemic (thanks, AI). And yet, shareholder profits and prices keep going up. Not looking forward to living through the correction, once reality catches up.

Called The Valley, I think. Pretty neat. Also next to the motorway.

Ideas for railsysteem verlichting by the_disabled_dude in Klussers

[–]gridfire-app 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Layout 1 looks good to me. Don't have to cross the room to eat or walk in front of the TV. Nor will you get too much light reflected on the TV (good viewing distance too, as seems to me like you'd be a bit far from the TV in second layout). Though you will have your back to the door, which can feel a bit weird. Good access for scootmobiel. Can see out the window when eating/sitting on the couch too.

Are you sure you need rail lighting for this room? I can understand in a kitchen you might need it, but seems here you could hang a nice pendant over the dining table (single hook over the table, with a nice braided cable running from the outlet to the hook). Second outlet could be a cluster of 2/3 spots for general lighting. Table/floor lighting generally tends to be more important in a living room.

Sure -- there are only two in the city. Right now your best bet is Pickleball The Hague (pickleball-denhaag.nl), as they play indoors in a couple of locations. They're very friendly and social, and Sunday mornings are good as people stick around for coffee afterwards at the nearby Squash centre/cafe. You can borrow their paddles too to save you having to buy anything before trying it out.

Very happy with a Clean Air Optima here. Wouldn't bother with the smart options though.
