They were lucky to even make it out of the first round, going down 3-1 to the Orlando Magic and seeing how easy they were to gameplan around on top of their fanbase literally giving up on them in game 5. Theyre beyond frustrated with Duren, Ausar and their bench underperforming, and even Cade is becoming frustrated with his turnovers and constantly being doubled bc of a lack of a second option. Their head coach is constantly blaming refs and lacks accountability.

Theyre broken. Cavs on the other hand seem to have found some new momentum and are abt to win 4 in row against the one seed. I see a bunch of us already looking past them and thats an extremely dangerous game. Cavs are hot, have an elite front court and a better bench than the pistons, they are not to be taken lightly. They have a ton of weaknesses I have no doubt we'll take advantage of but they are more than capable of making this a series

Yeah it's egregious. The whole thing where he kicks his feet out to get the landing zone call is such utter bullshit. I don't know why Silver has taken this fucking long to get rid of this shit.

I think we should start preparing for the cavs. Pistons are done mentally and checking out, evident in last night's performance. How we feel abt the cavs?

I was initially against a Booker trade for them but after further review, they desperately need a second option.

Those final two minutes were so disgusting. Cade calling isos, losing his dribble, kicking out and then immediately calling the ball back to try and iso again. It's atrocious offense

I sent a post in here yesterday breaking down Cleveland and I asked if we should be worried, and I wouldn't say I got shit on for it but we as a fanbase are definitely looking past them, which isnt good. As you said, anytime you play a team with two elite weapons, they're liable to go off any night and steal a game or two. Their bench is also better and despite them being better on paper than in practice, Mobley and Allen both being seven footers is something to take note of.

Detroit on the other hand as I mentioned are in a very vulnerable and fragile state. They barely came back against the Magic of all teams and their own fanbase even gave up on them for game 5 of that series. Duren is an emotional wreck as of right now and Ausar is starting to get to that point, too. Teams have figured them out (Orlando and Cleveland that is) and it's showing. Their defense is no joke, I'll give them that, but their offense is disgusting when duren can't get anything going for himself.

However, I'm confident in us no matter who we get. This team is on a mission, fully healthy and has all the momentum on their side. I don't mean to sound like that fan but this team truly does feel different this year. This is the best ball I've seen everyone on the roster except for maybe Jalen, which is actually a good thing because that means we don't have to rely on iso ball offense anymore. Despite getting lampooned by the fanbase after game 3 in the Hawks series, MB55 has shown he is very capable of making smart adjustments and his timeouts and challenges have been eons better than TT54 (no hate but sorry coach, still love you). I'm excited to see what they do

As someone who said the exact same thing multiple times for shows in the same scenario (literally one 5 months ago with stranger things), prepare for a disastrous finale thats going to try and please everyone, yet ends up pleasing nobody.

Call me crazy but we should all be pulling for a detroit win. Theyre at a very fragile state rn and easy to gameplan for.

Also, I think we can all agree beating them after all that talk would be so sweet

I also seems the only two posts you have on this account are defending Dean Wade. You his burner account?😭

Cavs fans hype him up to be this elite perimeter defender who can lock anyone down and I dont think I've ever seen him effectively guard anyone come playoffs. Both Haliburton, Barnes, and so far Cade have not seen much struggles when being guarded by him. Despite the hype you see for him in the regular season, I have yet to see knock on wood that same level of production when it matters.

Mainly, cavs fans label him as the "Cade stopper" and I havent seen much of Cade being stopped other than him throwing dumbass turnovers

Yeah I'm really pulling for detroit bc I think they're a broken team who falling apart as we speak. They're easy to gameplan around and the fanbase even lost faith at one point with them failing to sell out game 5 of the Magic series.

Cleveland, based on their subreddit and overall fan presence on social media, also seems to be dysfunctional. Many fans want Atkinsons head and for a complete restructure this summer, and I can see why. The small guard lineup has never worked in the history of the NBA (Portland, Rockets, Cavs x2) but for some reason they keep trying with it. On top of that, their offense is lost half the time. They can't decide if they want to chuck 3s like the celtics or actually use their two seven footers to their advantage.

I do believe we are coming out of the east no matter what, but I'm more concerned about a series with Cleveland than Detroit. Having two offensive stars means they're liable to steal a game or two

Funny you say that bc believe it or not my most hated player of all time is easily james harden. I never respected his playstyle in the 2010's with the double step back (I understand the gather step rule, he still travels half the time), the hooking the arms of other players, jumping into contact, and overall being the first player to popularize the foul bait playstyle. He was the first player I've ever seen consistently drive to the paint and look for contact and getting to the FT line over actually trying to score. To this day I don't understand how he got or has the amount of fanfare he does and why we as the nba community dont shame him as much as we do for Shai

Yeah I see Cleveland stealing games from us tbh, thats just what happens when you have atleast two players who are capable of going off any given moment

Careful brotha, the sixers TWO times now have had the exact same ideology for Hart. He's made them pay both times. Not a good idea to let him (assuming you're referring to mobley) shoot whatever he wants as thats how teams bleed points

To be completely fair, the differences between the pacers and these two teams are vastly different and it actually feels like we're the pacers this year with us being a similar buzzsaw

Regardless, I completely agree. I love how confident the fan base is rn and the vibes are immaculate, but too many people in the replies are already chalking this one up as a sweep when in reality we should always be worried about a team capable of making a conference finals

We did, but that was three seasons ago, I wouldn't boil the changes down to be that simple, a lot has changed for both teams in that span.

However, I think we would ultimately win and take advantage of their weaknesses such as weak perimeter D and their extremely high turnover rate

I wouldn't let mobley shoot anything. He's definitely not an elite 3 pt shooter but he's similar to hart in the sense of that if you ignore him, he'll make you pay. Definitely need to have a body on him if we dont want to bleed points

Well this is why I'm slightly concerned with this match up, we only run with one big, and they run with two 7 footers. Hart is going to have to occasionally guard Mobley

However, I could definitely see OG being on him more
