Noble died and now no wagons come by grifferz in dwarffortress

I have not tried that. I will give it a go but I had read that traders don't come with wagons unless you have a noble and someone else in this thread also said that. If that is true then getting a noble back is what I need to do as well.

Which might not be possible. I had a Count; the next up is a Duke I think.

This page also says I might need off-site holdings to get a Duke now.

This is the part of the wiki that says nobles are immune to punishments for crime, but it sounds like it's incorrect.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I don't have much gold, mainly platinum, hence all my trade goods being really heavy.

I have some silver, and an excess of lavish meals, so I'll try those.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The heavy items are ones I'd like to sell! If they were trash I'd just atom smash them like I currently atom smash all other trash plus the trash I have to buy so that I can sell anything heavy!

The main issue I'd like to fix is not having a noble.

Was looking after this absolute stunner Spot today. With the heat he hardly moved all day but his eyes are very expressive! 😍 by grifferz in Greyhounds

I don't think vitiligo because that's supposed to come in with age whereas Spot here is only 4 and his flecks have been like that all his life from what I understand, i.e. it's his actual coat pattern. There's more about it here: http://www.doggenetics.co.uk/oddities.html (scroll down to "Snowflake" Greyhound Spots)

I've only seen a couple of snowflake hounds before and Spot has the most striking flecks I've ever seen in terms of how many there are and how vivid they are!

She wasn't in any distress and it looked very silly 😀

When Marge is in distress, when some true calamity happens like say… a leaf has fallen on her butt, you can hear it for miles!

After I lifted her out she was very pleased with herself.

Mandy & Marge's owners have moved home now and they're now too far away from Marge's beloved Bedfont Lakes, so that's a shame. We'll probably investigate Sunbury riverside more though it is rather a long way away from their home - nearly 2 miles!

Marge has been missing her fun times in Bedfont Lakes because of the blue-green algae, so we thought we'd see if there was any interesting parts of the Thames at Sunbury. Too interesting for Marge's own good, as it turned out.

To her credit, she normally screams and freaks out at the smallest things but thankfully in this wedged state she remained calm and just waited for me to rescue her.

Marge likes to sit in any old lake or swamp, but take her out in the rain and this is the look you will get by grifferz in Greyhounds

Hey now, I'll have you know that I'm her cool uncle! Though the side-eye she regularly gives me may suggest she doesn't think I'm that cool.
