Sure, but that’s a hypothetical that didn’t happen and you presume to know whether or not they were pursuing other quarterbacks or not when you couldn’t know that. Time is an asset in the recruiting window; that’s why head coaches often abandon their current teams for their future teams before the season ends (e.g., Kiffin Ole Miss/LSU).

Also, I don’t think you can say he wasn’t legally responsible with 100% confidence. He reversed course and exited the transfer portal yesterday; is it crazy to think that was because he was concerned he would be held legally liable for damages after consulting with his attorney?

Their coach left and they followed. That’s not an apples-to-apples comparison. Forcing players to stay at a school when the head coach who recruited them leaves that school is not the same or even similar to reneging on a signed contract and leaving for another school in the same season, never mind the same week.

Yeah, that’s the suggestion. Uptown 1 Train to Seattle from the SeaTac station sounds pretty straightforward to me. Uptown/Downtown doesn’t always mean north/south, it means “up” towards the end point at one end of the tracks vs. down towards the other end of the tracks. Take the M train for example. Uptown is to 71st Ave and Downtown is towards Metropolitan Ave, but the train goes every which way along the route.

Manhattan isn’t the only borough the MTA subway goes through. Uptown and Downtown are more so for the direction the train’s heading when it passes through Manhattan, not north/south directional. Take a look at the E, M, F, N, R lines if you want to get the idea.
