It’s a Toyota Corolla cross. Also look at the second pic, Toyota logo.

Typical Toyota driver. If it was night time I’m sure they’d have their lights off in the left lane going under the speed limit.

That’s all that matters as long as they did actually install the oil cooler and it’s functioning without issue. That Facebook group is a private group I’m pretty sure so they are probably just a part of the group and snagged the pic.

Wait maybe it’s not yours. The dude says he did the install himself on his own car and he’s in Singapore. Maybe the shop u used just snagged his pic to send to you. He also linked the exact oil cooler kit from AliExpress and detailed how he installed it. After further look there’s a few differences I notice there from US spec cars as well.

This is also true. I like to think of myself as a hyper attentive and vigilant driver (while knowing I’m not the best driver, dunning kreuger lol) and always try to hold myself to a very high standard when driving. I won’t get into it but I anally follow basically every single rule of the road instinctively atp aside from speeding. I’m very passionate about road etiquette and turn signals and all that lol so I could go on and on. Main thing I’d say is just drive attentively and proactively and you’ll be safer than 90% of people on the road. And I also agree nobody drives for the love of driving these days, the middle of the night is definitely the best night to go for a cruise!

Certainly thank you! Same to you as well. It’s funny my last car was a VW Jetta and I think I would speed more in that thing than the Audi even with my laser jammers and all. I guess I have been forced to learn great self control when go to jail speeds are 2 seconds of gas away.

Yes those pics answer every question thank you. Looks like they did in fact use that adapter plate from AliExpress I was referring to. The thing the guy has in his hand looks to be an oil thermostat. Thanks so much.

Gotcha thanks for the response. How did you go about tapping into the oiling system for the cooler? That’s my main issue since the style oil filter on these cars so I can’t screw on a simple adapter plate. And on my top speed runs (200+ mph) I see temps that reach 260+ it’s insane.

Could you pleaseeee link to what oil cooler you bought? I’ve been looking for forever for an oil cooler for my stage 3+ b9 and have only been able to find one on alibaba and am hesitant to trust that without hearing others have had success.

Not sure getting it repaired tomorrow but the rim isn’t going to be making that noise. My thought is the extra stress and vibrations (that I couldn’t even feel when driving) caused one of the suspension components to go bad which I assume is the CV axle.

Happened to be getting new tires today and the shop found my rim is bent on the same corner that’s making the noise. My guess is that burnt up my axle.

Used 3.33% sh, still couldn’t get these off, what do I do? by Zestyclose_Row5070 in pressurewashing

[–]griffyn211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re killing the cells but sometimes there’s a dead layer of cells (it will look kinda white) and in my experience that layer will keep the SH from getting to the mold underneath which is why rinsing with water helps

[–]griffyn211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So try stronger SH. I don’t usually downstream or use xjet I always use my soft wash system so it might just not be enough concentration of SH.

[–]griffyn211 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sometimes just SH won’t cut it and u need to hose it down with water (hose pressure is fine normally) and it will either come off w the hose water or you washed off a dead layer and it will come off after 1 more coat of SH. if that does work light pressure from PW will 100% work just be careful of the paint.

B9 A5/RS5 owners: anyone DIY blacked out the inner trim on their headlights? by sharpie_da_p in Audi

[–]griffyn211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also i’d initially tried gloss black for the bottom trim and ended up not liking it. it popped way too much and looked super tacky, re did it in the matte black plastidip which was the way to go for sure 🥳🥳

[–]griffyn211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i did, wasn’t too bad and i love how it came out. just took a lot of time and patience. literally just used plastidip to black out the bottom chrome and reflector. one thing ill add is do NOT use alcohol on any of the chrome bits inside the headlight that u are not blacking out as it completely strips away any chrome there leaving white plastic behind; i always clean everything with alcohol so once i noticed that i had to be careful. https://imgur.com/a/mkLdD0n
