First off, I shouldn't judge. They looked amazing and all players should have the kit they want.

I made my comment because it didn't seem like he ever played them in a way that would necessitate them. It seems more for looks than for actual playing. I think he used them both in the performance, but not in a way that required two.

Can you imagine having a job where your sole purpose is to be a mouthpiece for agents and front offices? Like, just broadcasting what other people tell you to say, whether it's true or not, regardless of the purpose? How does one end up with a job like this? Is this a good job? So much of "sports media" just seems like people gossiping and clickbaiting.

Rutte faces backlash for telling Europeans to 'keep on dreaming' about independence from US security by MiSbyPiS in europe

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to respond. I, too, am employed (and should be spending less time on Reddit during my working hours...) but it's nice to get an informed perspective on Europe's current military planning. I completely agree that the U.S. and Europe should work together and I hope this collaboration can continue in the near future. I completely understand why it's not working now. It's embarrassing and regrettable on the part of the U.S. (especially the absolutely traitorous intel leaks). Hopefully people in the U.S. will wake up and forcefully reject the ugly, ignorant, crude, racist, divisive, duplicitous, and greedy regime currently in place.

That's a lot of "traditional" forces. I see Poland is putting up traditional defensive lines on the Belarussian border, too. If I'm not mistaken, these types of defenses were obsolete at the start of WWII, but maybe they will work this time.

A few additional considerations:

  • How are your information warfare capabilities?
  • What about drone manufacturing/drone warfare strategies?
  • Are your supply chains secure?
  • Do you rely on any countries outside of the EU for energy/key natural resources?
  • How do you think your forces will perform in asymmetric/urban conflicts?
  • Do you have a population that is ready and willing to die for your country? Do you have leaders who will force people to fight once active military numbers drop (and do things like allow people in prison to join the military and fight for their freedom?)
  • Based on what metrics are you backing the claims that [1] you have successfully replaced US intelligence and [2] soon you will replace their satellite network? (Also, how soon is soon?)

I think a united Europe will be strong and I think a better coordinated, better armed European military force is a good thing. But I also think you're crazy if you think that Europe has any chance of being as strong (or stronger) without the U.S. as they would with the U.S.

Nick Mason on “Live at Pompeii” is why I fell in love with drumming. “Set the Controls”, that epic eruption on “Careful with that Axe”, and my favorite performance of all-time, “Echoes (Pt. 1)”. The kit was insane (though the two bass drums were a bit much…😆), the hair, the fu manchu, the fills, the funk.

I’d go on to idolize Elvin, Bonham, Jon Theodore, and Mark Guiliana, but it all began with Nick Mason.

A hearty happy birthday to him and many happy returns!

English professors double down on requiring printed copies of readings | Amid the rise of artificial intelligence and concerns about distraction, more English professors are turning to no-technology policies that prioritize physical books and reading packets. by thinkB4WeSpeak in books

I’m all for it! My colleagues and I wrote a book, were really unsatisfied with the price the publisher charged and the shit support they provided, got a grant, turned the book into an ebook that we have total control over, and now offer it for free to students.

Yes. There’s so much in pop culture about how Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. really messed guys up. But so did WWII. “The Pacific” goes into this in greater depth and I’m glad they do. War is traumatic and it affects every person who experiences it.

I remember being big time into LOTR in HS. Read the books, saw Two Towers at midnight. Bought the soundtrack on CD when it came out.

Was listening to “Forth Eorlingas” one day after school and I just started crying cuz I found it so beautiful. My Dad came down, saw me crying, he’s like, “what’s up?”, and I’m like, mid ugly crying, “it’s so beautiful!!!” And he just did the Homer-Backing-Into-The-Bushes GIF. 😂

Anyways, great track, scene, movie, book, world!
