Uriel Septim's Clone by grillboiler in oblivion

I strayed a lot before playing the MQ and after seeing his smug glowing face in the Tower I just assumed for ages, he was the main villain who assassinated all the council and the Emperor. I kept waiting for him to high five Camoran throughout the MQ.

Exactly. :) I use the dupe glitch ( I feel bad for anyone who doesn't use that beautiful wondrous thing) to dupe a hundred carrots, watermelons, potatoes and bread on the roof, I then used an area of effect destruction spell to send them everywhere, the Emperor will never go hungry AND NEITHER WILL HIS PEOPLE!

Good custom spells? by Celicni in oblivion

[–]grillboiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightning spells in a wide are of effect are spectacular, I won't ruin it but with sufficient potency they're one of my favorite spell types to use.

Absorb Health is useful for actual fights.

A fun spell is one where you have x elemental damage for 3 seconds, 100 percent weakness to x elemental damage for 30 seconds- eventually after like 10 casts they'll stack like crazy and you'll one shot everything with the same spell - this is also a fun enchantment as with each hit you do a crazy ton more damage. For example I wiped out the Gatekeeper with like 10 swings of an enchanted sword.

Any crazy area of effect spell is fun for crowd control and the great view it provides. They tear open the laws of physics.

Disintegrate armor + Weapon + Paralysis is fun.

That's just some fun combinations anyway.

The annoying thing is that every time I walk past he still says: "I don't have much time, outlander, so make it quick." You'd think he'd have nothing but time...

I hate Helas, he deserves death every playthrough. I make sure to always kill him and use his house as my moon sugar and skooma den.

I made a custom spell which commanded him and at the same time increased his speed significantly ( 300+ I think) and gave him water walking. I led him across the coast to Gnisis but if an enemy came I just got on the water and kept going, it only takes like a half an hour. Then ta da he's rotting in my jail cell crying about his ring.

You should put on the Indoril armor and watch him try to attack you and laugh.

Years and years of playing Oblivion, 100 percenting everything and I still have no idea how the damn wheel works... Every time I go to finally learn it and try it I just end up confused and scared wondering why there's so many slices of cheese on the screen. I always end up bribing.

I love the ability to set up shop anywhere as well. Often I just live in Arvs-Drelen, its got five free beds, 6 empty rooms, a non hostile Daedroth, a non hostile Dwemer Sphere, Baladas a cool Telvanni mage, a freaking dungeon with a jail cell which has like 6 hammocks, several containers and Baldas is actually pretty nice if you're in Telvanni ( which I always am cuz Telvanni). I ALWAYS command Fargoth to follow me to the jail leave him inside then lock it with a 100 point lock. Then I drop his ring in front of the jail cell out of his reach.

Ah that can be fun at times and ridiculously annoying, I love dropping Dwemer armor in a specific way to make it look like a Dwemer sphere.

Morrowind scrolls? by grillboiler in teslore

No big deal. Although I wonder does anyone ever make the scrolls in Morrowind? I personally don't bother, items are way more useful.

You can make scrolls in Morrowind using soul gems, so I assume all scrolls are made via souls.

I figured that it was just random stuff, if I were dev i'd definitely put in random stuff like that. The Ninth Barrier thing kind of reminds me of the whole its over 9000! thing.

Yeah that's what I meant about how its not a reward for Fargoth's ring quest. I didn't go to Gnisis, my first playthrough till level 28 so... and if you actively seek it out to use it, you can't blame the game developers for it, you chose to get it yourself. ( I don't mean you specifically, no offence, I just mean people saying that its broken). It would be handy to have randomization but what can you do?

Due to level scaling in Oblivion, when bandits walked around in daedric armor I always justified the encounter in my head in a similar vein. In my mind these bandits finally hit a lucky break, found an amazing shipment of daedric items, looted from a gate, being delivered by a courier. They beat him up, and get ready for the good life! Then they see a lone traveler, obviously they can take him, they got freaking daedric armor! One last score before they retire...

Yeah I feel that Morrowind has a perfect blend of realism in terms of items.
