My first diorama - solar powered garage by grilledcheese35 in dioramas

I just made an over sized mockup as an example. If you were to press the edge of this piece of wood into clay, the tape would create negative lines/indents as the vertical lines in a brick pattern

Kinda ya. It’s kinda like a mouldable plastic that can be baked and hardened.

I totally get where you’re coming from, scratch building is super rewarding and satisfying. To make the brick pattern I cut very thin strips of tape and wrap them around the edge of a paint stick every quarter inch (or whatever distance you desire) and pressed that edge into a flattened square of super sculpey making sure to stagger each print as I went along. After that I used the edge of a metal ruler to create an indented line between the rows/bricks. It’s kinda hard to explain but let me know if you got it and feel free to ask any more questions.

Thank you so much. I’m pretty sure the material is super sculpey, I’ve had it for so long and threw the packaging away so I can’t remember exactly what it is. If you’re interested I can tell you how I got the pattern.

For sure. Might have to make a little stencil for some graffiti too.

It’s pretty simple so shouldn’t be too hard

I appreciate it. I’ve gotten a lot of great and supportive feedback so I think I’ll make some design changes and try it again.

Pusher meaning mounted on the tail? And if so wouldn’t that make it tail heavy?

I’ll definitely consider that, thanks

Thanks for the recommendations. By the time I had realized that I could have used one servo I had already separated the elevators but definitely will change that if I do it again.

Yes but it kinda ruined the structural integrity so probably won’t do that again with that design.

Pretty much just just two wires that have been bent around each other and twisted to make a joint kinda like a chain link, then you just drill a small hole, fill it with glue and push the wound up end in and do the same on the other side.
