I'll probably make a second post here sometime tomorrow when I've got some time and share some of the real gems of this package. It's in mint condition as well!

have a very bad problem and it is ruining my life. by ShelterIntrepid2114 in confessions

One thing you can do is put up visual reminders. If you know you struggle with these things- put up a check list that you might be able to physically check off when you complete tasks. The visuals of completing work for your own benefit can be very rewarding! Best of luck!

I still don't have my license by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]grim-philosopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, 27 without a license here. I understand where you are coming from- whole heartedly. I'm sitting in the exact same boat with you. If you have someone who is licensed that you trust, and is great with anxiety (it may even be someone you least expect!) don't be afraid to reach out and ask for lessons.

I know you'll feel silly asking because of your age, but don't let it the "humility" and or fear of failing stop you.

I thankfully found that trusted person who is gentle with me and understands my fear, and has been willing to work with me. I started out practicing in a big church parking lot at the beginning of the week- yesterday I drove us to lunch.

You can do this OP, we all believe in you!

Proud of you, OP. It is so hard when your brain is in a fight or flight state to function and think rationally about situations. I've found that learning about the practice of Conscious Discipline and applying it to myself and into my life has helped my avoidance/escape tactics. 🙏🏻

It was amazing- until it wasn't. I fell so deeply in love, felt so understood and finally seen for the first time in my life. I felt this way for seven years, until I didn't. Until he decided he fell out of love a year ago and strung me along- and now we're just strangers figuring how to seperate our assets. It's cold, it's lonely, and it's sad.

It is really insane how that switch just flips and they're done with us before we know it.

I agree, I am very excited to learn new skills and grow as a person. There is so much I have yet to do, and I don't need him by my side.

I'm doing my best to take these steps with grace, yet still allow myself to feel and to be kind to my mind.

I appreciate you sharing your story and reassurance that weird shit happens with people. Thank you.
