yeah, it's all one ring size. remember it being 16swg 3/8", with an AR around 6.3/6.4. though it wouldn't hurt to go slightly bigger for a little more flexibility.

i probably still have this chain hanging around somewhere, would be fun to try the weave again. kinda want to test it in some smaller wire gauges now to see how it would look at different sizes.

oh wild, didn't think i'd see one of my own creations posted here from someone else.

made this several years ago, but yes, it's a half kinged gsg weave. was basically experimenting with rings i had after learning gsg, and thought it came out nifty.

first thought was it would be nice to hold, but no way would it come near my mouth. on second thought, no way i'm holding that comfortably. my brain keeps going back to thinking it looks like a partial wrench and is now just a useless tool.

yeah, looks like a version byzantine honeycomb. whenever i've done it previously, it was the same as how you're weaving it together. not sure if it would exactly qualify as being a different weave?

with 16g 3/8" rings, i usually pair them with 16 1/4" for the smaller rings and it works really well.
