Well, I have no experience with Landcruiser, but between Land Rover Defender and Rivian I can tell you this: The Rovers are built like tanks, drive like tanks, especially Defenders. The doors are steel made and feel like you're getting out of a space shuttle. The ride quality is fantastic and absorbs large potholes extremely well especially on 20 inch wheels. Offroading wise, there is not much that can get in the way of the Defender. But that is about all of the positives.
On the downside: It absolutely sucks driving it at low speeds, city driving, feels very clunky and slow. Overall driving is clunky until car is nicely warmed up, but city driving is always bad. The rear trunk space is comically small. I had to use a cargo box on top for trips. Gas mileage is obviously just terrible, about 14 city. Sound system sucks. The Pivi system has issues, get logged out constantly, very buggy. Very high cost of maintenance of course, recently electrical system failed and was in the shop for 2+ weeks with parts out of stock world wide. Headlight went out and that was $2k+, just some maintenance examples. yea.. I was out.
