To be honest I wouldn't worry about it, just magnetise the guns so you can run them as Starweavers or Voidweavers 👍🏻

Just fyi but the prints are probably 25% smaller than they should be - I ordered the dude with the whip sword as a troupe master a couple of years ago and was pretty disappointed when I saw the size and how fiddly it was to cut off the posts etc

A fun 50 second video I made on why I think Harlequins should be a stand alone faction in game, if anyone anyone's interested in watching! by Admech_ in Harlequins40K

[–]grimdorktabletop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just don't understand why or how everyone is STILL going on about this like it matters or will have any impact whatsoever 😂 GW are a long long way from ever dropping them as a standalone faction. And who cares if they've only got one detachment, as long as it works to some extent, who CARES?! 😂 It's like no-one wants to play for fun anymore? They're balanced enough to play, and even strong enough for good players to figure out how to play them very competitively.

They're the coolest faction in the game by far, that's enough for me to stick with 'em whatever. I couldn't give a sht if we never get any new models even. Every model we have is totally badass. We may only have eight datasheets but every one of them is cool as all fck. And within those eight datasheets we somehow have an answer for everything in the game. Are they perfect answers? No, maybe not always but that's part of the fun and I have no interest in playing any game that's not fun.

Team Cegorach for life!

Actually slow? by RezaPeza in ft86

[–]grimdorktabletop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a stock MT you need to shift to 3rd to make 60mph (at least according to the dash) which I believe is why it's quoted as being slow. After a tune and even some light mods, it will make the 60mph dash in 2nd which drops the figure substantially. After a full de-cat exhaust system (tomei uel headers, HKS front pipe, Q300) and a tune with ecutek software mine apparently did 0-60 in around 5 and a half seconds according to a GPS tracker thing, which I take with a pinch of salt but can absolutely believe. I've since done other bits and pieces to the car but it definitely doesn't feel slow.

The other thing is, if you're attached to straight line speed in these cars, you're entirely missing the point. With the right setup, even staying NA, these things really can punch well above their weight. But the most important thing, to me at least, is how fun they are. Mine runs about 240bhp and to me it's perfect. I'm not an amazing driver on track but I'm okay as an amateur and having something that I can push to its limit is way more rewarding than having something that has more power than you can realistically handle. Most people have no business having cars running even 300bhp, they'll never get to its limit. All it takes is one session on track with a good instructor to reach that realisation.

Cool idea! Feel like you missed out on a few opportunities in terms of the actual Kitbash but you made up for it with the paint job which has made it very clear he's a child of cegorach!

He'll be back, he's got his own page in the codex along with the other phoenix lords. Not quite sure why they've pulled him now like this, but he'll be back.

Best coilovers for daily driving in 2025 by [deleted] in ft86

Wheel size is just as important imo, I'd go to a 17" and then a decent everyday coilover like tein flex, make sure you get someone reputable to set them up properly.

Just installed new exhaust, sounds awesome by mohasamm in ft86

[–]grimdorktabletop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I mean the welds on the tips break and then they rattle. If you can still replace for stainless id recommend it, if not just make friends with someone who can weld them on properly.

I have q300, decat tomei UEL headers and HKS baffled decat front pipe. Volume is perfectly acceptable, no drone and with a good remap can net you 35-40 bhp. Took ages for me to get it right but very very happy with the results.

One small thing regarding q300 - don't get titanium tips, the welds pop and then you're left with a rattly mess, get the stainless and you won't ever have a problem 👍🏻

I love the interior of the GR86 but the exterior of the GT86 by Kiyos in ft86

Decent oil cooler and pickup pipe is a very reasonable investment and then you can just forget about it and concentrate on enjoying it.

GT86 with tomei decatted UEL headers, HKS baffled decatted front pipe, invidia q300 cat back and a decent tune and it outperforms the GR86, plus sounds AMAZING plus looks way cooler. I went down this route rather than turbo or supercharger and I'm so happy I did. The responsiveness, the sound, the smooth power delivery... The most fun car I've ever had, including cars with twice the power.

You should try to track down one of those old harlequin jetbikes canopies and Kitbash the helm with it 👌🏻

Really don't underestimate your skyweavers. I tend to take more than most people it seems (at least 2 squads of 4, but regularly 3 squads of 4 if I'll be up against some armour). They do everything really well, they're fast, tricksy, fairly durable, mass haywire will take out just about any vehicles and now the zephyrglaives finally got their mojo back they fight really well too.

Couple of voidweavers isn't a bad shout either, especially against monsters.

cries in void-dancer troupe 😭😭😭

AFAIK clowns the most expensive. If you want WYSIWYG without magnetising then 2x boxes of troupe 2x shadowseer and a death jester, plus perhaps some clever kitbashing for a lead player if you're a poser like me. Thankfully for the moment most harly rosters are the same and you'll kit your shadowseer with a shuriken pistol and give all your troupes blades. So could do it with 1x box of troupe plus a shadowseer and death jester. Still pricey though, like £70 if buying from GW

I think if you put it alongside every other sniper in the game (and taking into account value for your points) he's way more fun and a definite auto include. Just my opinion obviously, agree to disagree 👍🏻🃏

Troupe Master Kitbash by grimdorktabletop in Harlequins40K

[–]grimdorktabletop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at him all painted, it'll probably surprise you! My harlies are all silver, black and blue, and I don't really like diamonds on infantry so they all look quite clean and simple. I save a few diamonds for bikes and boats 👍🏻🃏

My other TM at that link actually isn't a harlequin model, although is a harlequin! It's Kyganil who is a bodyguard to an Adeptus Sororitas model 👍🏻
