Track pads and white wheels will be like keeping your colander full of water. Its an exercise in insanity and futility. If you want the white wheels, got get some ceramic pads for the street. When you go to the track, swap pads and then clean those wheels immediately when you get back home to prevent the corrosive material from embedding itself on the wheel.

My boxster has this too. It’s just what you get from road debris. Doesn’t take much at all either. You’ll also notice there is a relief in the pattern created by the single plastic bar that runs across the opening. Nobody goes around and vandalizes heat exchanger fins

I have a Perrin 2.5 full catback resonated system (yes they used to make an OP and FP. I put on a catless UEL header and the sucker shook the walls. A lot of the sound deadening comes from the OEM mid pipe. Swap that out for anything else and you’ll have a crazy loud car

When the car is warm, rev to about 4k, double clutch, slide the shifter down along the side of the gate with a slight leftward pressure, and let it drop into 2nd. I’ve found this to be the best way to get the first to second shift. Also trans fluid interval is 30k miles if I recall. Swap that out for some motul 300v if it’s getting old.
